Apparently you all aren't aware of rule in France? (Not sure if it's just Paris or region or all of France, but it's something.)
A show about the security dogs at the Louvre museum there shows how they are muzzled all through their rounds, because of law.
Stupid, senseless.

I see no point in using the dogs at all, if you are taking his means of deffense away. It's the equivalent of sending troops in without a rifle. What the hell can they really do but take a hit? I wouldn't sell dogs to LEO to be used like that. Like someone else said, it's a suicide mission.

If this stupid idea was ever enforced in this country it would only be a matter of time before it would actually cause a few LEOs deaths.
I think the criminals are more afraid of a dog than a gun, because once they start to bite who knows where they will bite and IF they will stop. This muzzle idea would take away any advantage the Police have.
