I saw that movie too, Jamille. Wasn't that on Animal Planet? Maybe it's available on DVD?

where the red fern grows--- i think everyone can agree this is one of the greatest stories ever-- my older brother was never a big reader, but he had to read this for school-- so i let him use my copy.....i caught him red-faced and teary eyed while reading it..lol..he claimed it was allergies-said my book was old and dusty......
DON--- i've had PLENTY of hounds( actually they were my dads, but i considered them mine) ..coon dogs.....great dogs.....one of my most missed dogs was a louisiana catahoula cur (this one was actually mine)......my dad also had a catahoula-was one of the most beautiful dogs i've ever seen......i to swear that one day- i will own another.....
cledford-- that sick movie is one of my FAVES..........yep, some good gsd action...beauty and beast- luv the names they gave them...

Another one where the German Shepherd doesn't make it is "Signs" which features a pair of GSD's. I was yelling "take the damn dog in the house" towards the end.
Loved The Hills Have Eyes! Both of them. But hey, who doesn't love cannibalistic mutant families on a rampage?

Jamille, I looked on AP's website and on Amazon and a few others sites that sell DVD's and can't find it anywhere. There is a review of it on a Yahoo site and according to what the posters say there, it is not available in English, maybe in French. There is an older film also entitled "Rain" starring Joan Crawford, so if you run acrossed a DVD by that name, make sure it's about the dog and not starring Mommie Dearest. If I find one, I'll let you know and please do the same. I only saw about the last half and found it a great film, I'd love to have a copy too.
Yes, Gieble, it was about a GSD that went to Nam. I'm sure your dad would love it. I'm from that era too . Yikes maybe I'm old enough to be your mother!!!

I found this on "Rain" on the IMDB: www.imdb.com/title/tt0265611/

That's about the same thing I saw on Yahoo. It doesn't say how to buy the DVD or if it's available it, just sends you to Amazon and they have the film with Joan Crawford for sale. If you figure out how to buy it, please let me know, I am not a computer whiz by any means. Thanks for the information.
