Sunsilver

Oh, yeah, the voting thing...sorry, I was too busy admiring the scenery!  (And wishing I was there!  )

#2 above looks most like a normal show stack , so I'd go with that. One problem with the black mask, though, is the eyes don't show up very well, and that makes the dog's face look rather lifeless. It would be nice to get a shot where the sun is falling on his face, so we can see the eye better.

#2 for his pedigree page, though I really like the action in the water picture.

Sunsliver wish I could enlighten you about Bax's lines. We accuired her through a rescue, when she jumped out of a car window at 9 months old and broke her leg. Owner left her at the vets when he couldn't or wouldn't pay for the pin in her leg. The rescue I worked for took her in paid for surgery and wanted me to keep her at home inside do to the pin. The rest is history and she never left.

Baden does look like a black blob in allot of photos, the light has to be just right to get all his features. Problem with face into the sun, I get squints out of him....

I get lucky once in awhile and get it just right.

Another thing, quick comments from anybody if you think he looks too fat or skinny. Non dog people are always saying he looks hungry and my dog crew say he gets chubby really quickly and he does. Looking at all of these he seems to be hitting a lanky stage again. It's shopping day for RAW amd I'm inclined to throw in some tripe on the side of each meal, for a week or 2.

4Pack, looks like someone threw sand in his face in that top pic! Does he like to dig holes in the beach?

And in that second pic, he's saying "Take it away from me...I DARE you!"

Always nice to hear happy endings with rescue work.  Sometimes if the treatment of a fracture is delayed, due to no one wanting or being able to pay for it,  the results aren't so happy.

My hat's off to you, and all those who work in Rescue!  (I don't, I just seem to have a habit of stumbling across GSD's in distress!  Three so far, and I'm sure there will be more in the future!)

Sunsilver, he doesn't just dig to dig. I threw a rock towords the water and he was trying to dig it out of the sand, rather than put his dainty tongue on the dirty thing. LOL I took the pic with the sandy nose because I thought it was cute. Looks like a sandy heart.

I don't do rescues anymore. I'm passing that torch to my daughter who brings home every stray kitten and baby bird flung from the nest. Rescue was too bizarre for me. I liked doing the work but the people involved are a little different. The guy who headed the place I worked at thought he was Cesar and let 20+ dogs run together on a fenced acre. I got tired of patching up nice dogs who got punked by the shitters. One day I witnessed the best looking dog we had, have his ear bit off by a crazy dog I called crazy 8. He paced in a figure 8 pattern all day on a corner of the acre pen. His real name was Max and he had a pedigree and he was fully trained but as soon as you were not telling him to do something, he went back to the glazed eye look and the 8 pattern in the corner.

I brought Zoro home minus his ear, for a little TLC and I was contemplating forking over the fee for him too but someone came and adobted him shortly after I decided and before I could come up with the adoption fee myself. I still think about some of those dogs and whatever happened to them? I felt like I was giving back but part of me was giving too much. I can't imagine doing it for years and years. It's the quickest way to see the dark side of the dog world.

Great shots 4pack.  We just got back from our place in Sequim, WA and I already miss it.  If I can manage it & if I have your permission, I'll post a couple of shots of NumNuts of the North (my young dog).
