I will only add this.  Buy the dog that is RIGHT for you and your purpose.  LOOK at the siblings.  If you cannot see them, ask questions.   LOOK at the lines (top and bottom). 

Find out what the bitch's siblings are like (if any) and what the sire's siblings are like (if any).  Find out if any have titled or done what you plan and where. 

Get as much information about the close up family and really LOOK at that in addition to the puppy you are looking at and any of its siblings. 

If there are any weaknesses there, especially in temperament for what you are planning to do, then walk away.  BTW you need to be sure of your intentions in order to do this. 

NOW go back and re-look at both dogs and think about it from that perspective and the answer will reveal itself.  It may be one or the other or neither.   

Thank you Rass, I appreciate your help I have done exactly that. I have been doing nothing but research on both lines for the past 2 days. We have decided to go with Helena out of Shellmead german shepherds. Thanks for everyones help!
