2 moons, yes i know what a breaking stick is. if you are going to own the breed it is a most have. just in case. i would like to see someone try to use it with some of these other breeds though. can you say bye bye fingers? LOL.  but the subject of breaking sticks brings up more propaganda. you can go into any pet store in the US and get a book on the proper care an training of these dogs and it will state that they are a most have and they are the most humane and effective way to stop 2 dogs from fighting... but if the police/dogwarden... find one they call it dog fighting paraphenalia... go figure.

The main thing with me is I dont want to see any animal forced to fight another, dog, game cock  whatever.  This includes humans and war. The choice to fight should be your own.

The APBT shouldnt just disappear, they can be useful and bred for a new task.  But it will take time to change the breed and until then one must use caution with them.  I can say the same thing about some of the working line shepherds, rott's, dobe's and so on.  I just read an artical in a local paper about a lawsuit over a K9 biting incident, the man was bitten after he was subdued and had been cuffed. The officer did not control his dog. I think I would not want to run into this dog if he got away from his handler.

Our dogs must interact with us in a safe dependable manner.  And man is accountable for the actions of his animals.

Dog fighters should do time , so should abuser's.

"Remarkably, Cesar Milan , who owns several Pitbulls, has never had his ever attack anyone.  Amazing isnt it?"

It might be amazing if it were true. I have witnessed one of his dogs leave him to run 20 yards to bite a gardener with a leaf blower. This is a fact.

Well Chris...Inquriing minds want to know. Did Cesar's  dog,  or didnt the dog, actually bite the person with the leaf blower? My guess..Not

My last GSD,  chased off several UPS & Electric Meter men, even had the Mailman throw his bag at her to defend himself. They didnt knock , or were aware of my dog being out in the fenced backyard and perceiving a threat.. What exactly is your point?

The first Face Replacement Surgery took place,  the guilty culprit was a Labrador Retriever.

Lastly, In addition to really wanting more information on the criminal records of the owners of the Pits that make statistics, Id like to know how many are kept ON Chains with little to no supervision as well...

Conclusion, we have a real problem with Stupid in AmeriKa..

I too feel that the pit bulls are getting a bad rap.  Nobody seems to mention that Dobi’s were selectively bred to fight people (only breed from inception meant to be but many people like to dump on pit-bulls because they were bred at one point to be dog fighters.  Doesn't make sense to me.  I think a lot of this all stems from a north American (USA & Canada) trait to not hold individuals accountable and instead always find an excuse to take the burden of responsibility off of the individual and place it on something else.  If more people were held accountable for their dogs actions (vs the dog or breed…) then people would damn sure be more careful with their care and handling of these animals...  It never fails to amaze me that level of stupidity that our society has devolved into.  Working dog breeds will always have some degree of risk associated with owning them, just like the owning of guns, cars, boats, jet skis or anything else that can hurt someone else.  There are plenty of laws on the books to hold people who are irresponsible accountable for any of these things hurting someone else.  The problem is that with jail over crowding, over –burdened courts, lack of enforcement due to misplaced priorities it is easier to legislate away gun ownership, dog breeds, cars with engines that sure “too big” and motorcycles that go “too fast.”
