I am not going to say anything negative without  first hand real solid information on this breeder.  I had spent some time investigating a number of breeders, this one included, and have come to the conclusion that for the money I would spend for one of these dogs I would fly to either Germany or Czech Rep.  and purchas a dog from a reputable breeder that has a long history of using proven breeding stock such as Karl Fuller or other solid breeders that understand breeding and know what works best with what.  I gave Kirschental as an example, but there are many good solid breeders over seas and for the money you are talking about a person can fly over, have a vacation and bring one back with some fore planning. I am not keen on the idea of changing breeding stock. How do you get a working knowledge and history of whats proven???

As far as the money goes I would not have a problem paying top dollar for a pup or green dog, but I know that I would do far better with others.   My thoughts are always to explore all your options, there are good breeders on this site that have a good track record, with few if any complaints.  JMO     P.S. if you email me privately I will share my limited first hand experience.

I do have 2 Kraftwerk dogs I had purchased as pups after a year of looking.  I am extremely happy with them, both have been very healthy with good balance of drives and temperments.  The boy is excelling in his Schutzhund training (he's wearing me out with it) and my female is very ready to join him (when I get the xtra hands to do it with).  His initial assessment by a professional trainer, who recently spent time with Ivan Balabnov for personal assessment, is that he has what it takes to title and then some.  The assessment has given me the basis for sending him to Ivan in the very near future for training and titleing as I know he has it in him more than I do as a handler.  With high hopes that in 08 that he will be showing up in trials.

We also train with another person who is very happy with her Kraftwerk dogs and they also show good balance in drives and temperments.

I personally would not buy an adult dog from anyone - I want to know the dog has a good start in life and the only way for me guarantee that is by my own hand.  It is too easy to ruin a good dog.

Well Kraftwerk rased their prices on adult trained dogs to Starting at $8500! All the adults where listed last week for $1500 less.

Are you buying the kennel or a dog? If I charged those prices I too would have a very expensive, impressive kennel facility. As it is, my pups have to settle for being born in the house. LOL My poor babies. His kennel is nicer than my house! SS

Shelley I said the same thing about his kennel!
