Justk9s

Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers during this horrible time.

A quick update,  Rookie is just about fully recovered.  He is still careful going down the steps, which I am glad of.  He did fracture some ribs, so that is why he was still so slow.  Other than the steps and missing hair on his head, legs, belly and bottom lip he is just about back to normal.  I am including a picture..  He is such a goof ball and wants to play so bad.

oh yeah, and his ear got road rash too.. hopefully it will heal completely.  It still seems weak.

Does anyone have any good ideas to help his ear stand full again?

Kim,

My condolences are with you in your time of loss.  What a horrid event.  I cannot even imagine how awful that was.

So glad the others are doing better.

Rookie looks like such a sweetie!

I hope you're all doing well now.

I am very sorry that your dogs got hit by a semi  : (

The above is from my 7 yr old daughter,  as I was scrolling down the thread , she saw the picture and she said " OH POOR THING WHAT HAPPENED"?       So, I explained to her, and she wanted to reply.

That is very gut wrenching !!    I could  only imagine your horror on that day!    Mine and my daughter's heart go out to you.

Best wishes

Jamille,

Tell your daughter that she is very thoughtful and sweet.  I appreciate her concern.. Rookie does too.  He is a big goof ball and will be back to his ole self really soon.

Thank you and God bless.

Poor baby! I don't know if he could tolerate taping, it sure looks like it needs support. But God bless him, he is special & lucky even to have survived! If his ear mends a little crooked, it will always be his Badge of Courage! Hugs to you all! jackie harris
