An idea that MIGHT work...Have someone post an advertisement that they are looking to BUY a GSD puppy. Maybe these thieves will contact them to sell them one and you will be able to find out who did this.

I agree with Policemom,
Do you have a yellow paper there, like a free add's paper. Quite a lot of the time you might see dogs being sold cheap for quick sale with no papers. Surley there cannot be that many sables for sale in Ireland. It could be worth a try.
Have you contacted all the vet's in the area's. Dundalk looks very close to the border with Northern Ireland, don't forgot to try there. Radio stations, pet shops really anywhere you can think of, I know some have already said these things, but you have to try evrything.

Hello Sam I was not being rude but wanted to know how this could happen- so we all would be more aware of what is going on.
A friend on mine had a litter of two rottwiellers and left for the store and when she came back they were gone. They had been to her house before asking about them and she said no they were not for sale, They asked if they could see the parents and put their hands by the gate for them to snife (My friend naturally it's OK to the parents) and they they left , she left and they stole the puppies. She did recover one months later chained to a tree but the other one got lose and was hit by a car.
I learned a great deal from her horror. I lock all my gates now, I have a fence in yard and the kennels are towards the back (by the back door) and I have taught my dogs to alarm if someone is to close to the fence. and most of the time there is a floating dog ( a lose dog in the back yard )
Actually 3 months ago it was about 8-9 pm we were watching T.V and a guy walked in the back yard (opened the fence) and our floater dog bite him on the arm (nothing hard just to hold him). BOY was he a yelling and when police came they asked him why he was in the back yard his quote" they have pretty dogs and I wanted to see them" Luckly we were not charged ( no tresspassing signs posted and guard dog on duty). But how stupid some people can be. We have since changed the lock on the door and put up more signs.
Thank you for sharing your story. Again I hope they find the SOB(s) that stolen them and they are returned safe and sound.

Hi EKvonEarnhardt.
No i did not think you were being rude at all. you are right it should be something that is made more aware to everyone.
I hope Lexi can come on and give us an update.

I spoke to Lexi earlier this afternoon and sadly he has had no luck in finding the pups yet. The story is in the Irish newspapers and he has been interviewed on the Irish radio, so is doing all he can. He would be pleased for us all to put the story on the home or news page of our websites. Perhaps the GSD Rescue's could put it on their websites also?

Thanks for Lexi`s details Kesyra, but I have had no joy in raising him/her yet. Therefore, I will tell now how a friend got her Springer back, it may help others too,. She had her stolen and she was in whelp !!! Police not interested really, had motorists to chase which was more lucrative.... so she set about it all herself. Vets etc., and all the really useful stuff that has been put on here. she knew that her bitch was due her pups in 2 weeks time, so 6 weeks after her loss, when the pups should have been approx 4 weeks only, and still no sightings - she went through the local paper ads (see above posting) - and visited every litter. She took no heed of their age or colours or the mothers description, she just went.... It was HER LITTER when she got to her 8th visit, the dog recognised her mum and went ballistic, and I guess the hardest thing for her, was to ignore the dog, and get on with being " a prospective buyer" - she did it in style and left, saying she would like 2 so left a £200 deposit. She returned with the police, and trading standards, and a scanner. RESULT..... she took back her bitch, and there was to be a prosecution..... but hey, this is the UK. The prosecution got chucked out before it began, and the lady could only have the 2 pups if they were paid for as the liar and cheat had reared and whelped them ok..... British justice at its best, but however, she got her girl back..... I was going to tell Lexi to go down the papers, because even if advertised with a mum, they still could be his... these folk are crafty and it seems would pull any trick in the book. I do hope that they return. David Paynes website gets mills of hits, but he is away at present, I am sure he will go with this when he gets back... also it could be good if Lexi would let us know what has been done so far - then we could all think further rather than poss what he has already done. Oh my!! To steal a litter of helpless babies, thats disturbing. Its things like these that make me fear the future of humanity.
I hope you find your puppies and they are returned safely to you. This makes me sick to my stomach.

This is so wrong. The idea of the stolen pups staying with the thief, is sick and the judge should be hung. Your heart must be breaking, I am so sorry.
