With my first couple of litters, I also fed Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lovers Soul and my pups loved to eat their poo. When I switched to RAW feeding, the puppies no longer eat their poo, they will turn around smell it and walk away. I was so amazed, because the poo eating thing is just so gross, that I will never raise another litter on kibble. I've been feeding Honest Kitchen Embark with extra ground beef mixed in and the pups just love it!

i am not an expert but the above info from powerhaus is true in a lot of cases and that's why yogurt lots of times will help there digestive enzymes also free feeding can take away there food drive so they never act hungry why should they they when they know they always have food and it will be there when they feel like eating. i know some one else mentioned that you should just feed dry and i agree (no caned its especially bad for there teeth per the doggie dentist) but i have always wet my puppies food with plain water my adults food to it was my understanding that feeding dogs plain dry food with no water in it can make them more susceptible to bloat. i don't quote have any facts on this. just what ive learned from a lot of other people.
