I've never had anything to do with Omega Shepherds--period.

by kitkat3478 on 06 September 2007 - 20:09
Talk about OVERSIZED, Kitty kat was supposed to be 350lb, instead she turned out to be in excess of 600lbs, DO I CRY ABOUT THAT?NO I DON"T !!!I have no idea what size her brothews and sisters were, but than again, THERE IS NO AFRICAN LION DATABASE to see what else comes out of her pedigree, She was a black maned lion, she did roar, and her BITEWORK WAS AS PROMISED.She also had the temperment of a KITTYKAT,as was promised. Do I attack the woman I got her from, or the people who hunted down her parents years ago???What do you think louise,DO I criticicize everyone in her lineage that she was oversized?,Do I say, damn, you told me the heritage of this cat only CALLS FOR STANDARD SIZE LIONS, or do I say, geeeeeze, there must a foreign gene in there somewhere?? Statistics didn't tell me there may be a variation for expectation? I don't know about anything else, but expect the unexpected. If everything in life was as clear as blk&white, LIFE WOULD BE SIMPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kit Kat take a pill pill you? We are talking Pedigreed GSD's not lions! We don't or are not suppossed to breed those outside the standard. Lying and making crap up is even worse. I'm sure what rankles Louise is that he a has a beautiful V rated, titled male of the same lines that doesn't get bred to, often enough and some 2 bit wannabe comes along and does her best, to squash what quality there is left out there.
It's just a shame is all. I'm sure that is why Louise is disgusted. His dog Geronimo is about as prime a specimine as can be found here in the states, if you are looking for a beautiful show line that can actually work too. Everything we "should" be looking for in the GSD. It's just sickening to see the lesser dogs, pimped out like they are the best thing since sliced bread.

And what are you saying,,, I AM here to learn, I am NOT a Bit Wanna BE nothing ?// I am not Omega Shepherds, I am not looking to do anything with anyone other than MYSELF, AND MY DOGS. I want to improve my line, and I beleive I have a male from from Highlander, that will do just that. I breed and sell to the :average joe," and am happy doing it. Beleive me, I am not getting RICH, nor do I have any expectations or fantasies of that. I am doing what I LOVE doing and hope that in the process of doing such, provide GREAT FAMILY ADDITIONS.
AND I CERTAINLY do no DOG PIMPING. If you don't like my dogs, go somewhere else. NO hard feelings on my part. Beleive That!!!
I am trying to find the BEST dogs in the standard, for what I can. I am trying to improve. And I think I did just that with the pup I found. I could find and breed 200 dollar shepherds 'ALL DAY LONG" if that were my goal. That is why I adsk, NOT TO BE INSULTED!!!

Like I said, "take a pill." I was referring to Omega shepherds not you! Feeling guilty are we? Your at least feeling insecure, worrying yourself about what Louise said and then thinking I was attacking you. Hun, your not that important, you and your dogs aren't even a blip on my radar.
I hardly need your warning to go elsewhere. Show lines aren't even my bag, there are select few that could warrant my interest. Geronimo is one of them.

no, I have nothing to feel guilty about. If I took what you said the wrong way, I am sorry. As you are , or should be aware of is this, people DO ATTACK for no Good reason here. I am trying to right by my dogs, and German Shepherds( not that I'll make a dent). I'm sure I am a blip on your radar, your interest in dogs is totally different , and I know that.
My statement to go elsewhere was NOT directed at you , it was a general statement to ALL who beleive, theirs, and theirs alone are superior.
I actually feel pretty good about my plans for my dogs, really.
Since you are a 'Working line person", and you like Geronimo, would you mind telling me, what you like about him? Seriously, I am interested in the opinions of others and what they like and dislike about certain dogs and their pedigrees.
How else are you supposed to learn, if you don't ask??

Works like a working line dog
low ZW score
good hips
clean elbows
I don't think anyone would say he is not beautiful
so far is producing nicely
social dog, not dog aggressive
super temperament
nice overall dog you can compete with and have around a family
If only more show dogs were just like this, I would still be interested in the black and reds.

No one has attacked you. Jonah, Louise and 4Pack have very kindly explained the position of responsible GSD breeders.
The breed needs to be protected. Only the very best should be bred. The way to determine which dogs are the best is to title, show & breed survey your dogs. Learn all you can about schutzhund and/or herding. You will also need to study genetics. You need to study all the GSD bloodlines enough to know what the various lines have to offer. At this point you might feel ready to consider breeding GSDs, but first, you will need to develop relationships and the respect of breeders & trainers of GSDs so you may avoid some of the mistakes generally made by newcomers (mistakes the dogs pay for). Too many people make the mistake of putting the cart before the horse, as mentioned by Jonah. Many people here will be willing to help you learn, but make no mistake, we take this breed very seriously, they are our loyal friends and feel the need to protect them. Please don't make the mistake of being defensive, but take the time to listen and learn from those that have come before you.

Uh, I don't want to dive into this pond, but I feel I should say that a longhair GSD bred to another longhair GSD cannot produce anything but longhairs. If you have a stockhair from 2 longcoats, you have an incorrect pedigree. And that's all I have to say about that..........................

Watcher: As a non professional trainer and showperson, I certainly wouldnt want to criticize the handler in the pics on the schutzh magazine...that man has been doing this for many shows ,,,that is one of Tracy Bullinger's handlers from Canada and he has handled more dogs in top va and V and siegers and siegerins shows than I am old....
Tracy Bullinger shows mega dogs a year in the winner circle...
Your opinion , though , feel free...just making my point....
Im pretty sure that pic ws taken as the judge made his final pics.....there are other ones in the mag of same handler with Sg3 Fresca v Bullinger in the Youth class
He gets the job done and hes evidentually pretty good at it...
