Vick apology ?????? - Page 3

Told Hubby last night he will NOT be watching any Falcon games on TV this season. Wanted to boycott all NFL games but I would have a riot on my hands, so Falcon games it is, even if they go to the superbowl (Very unlikely)

Vikc is really the worst scum there is. Whats next? Children? Old People? His apology is just PR. He is crying over all the money he is loosing and the prison time he is facing. Hey maybe he can get with Martha Steward to get tips on making the best of his vacation

I know, it should be "too each his own" regarding everyone's  particular style nowadays and I do not generally put anyone's individual style down but, what's with the new "GANGSTA" mentality?

It seems lately, the kids are trying so hard to be cool.  And the media has promoted coolness to include the following:

Big, Chrome Wheels, (It doesn't matter what the actual vehicle looks like (or runs like)as long as it has huge, chrome wheels

Big, Gold Chains,

Designer Duds to hang off their arses being sure to show the world what sort of boxers they're wearing,

and a PitBull or other designer Bully Breed walking next to them with a car chain attached to it's neck.

Is this what we want to raise as the next generation? 

And, to take it one step further, your dog is the deciding factor to how cool "you" really are.  If said dog can fight and win, WOW, you must be some man!  If it loses, kill it and get another.

Where ARE the positive role models anymore?  They're getting harder and harder to find.

My husband reminded me after seeing the "apology" on TV last night that these people don't only fight their dogs but steal pets out of peoples yards to use as bait dogs.  I had a beautiful 9 year old female ShihTzu that disappeared out of our fenced yard 7 years ago and we posted mega reward posters, ads in the newspaper, etc with no success.  I hated to think about it then but a neighbor had told us while we were hanging posters that this had been happening in our neighborhood and several dogs had gone missing recently.  I wish I could punch him and all those like him in the gonads so hard they would get an extra adam's apple !!!!!!!

These people affect more lives than just the dogs.  It broke my heart and depressed me for months.

My worry about this man is , he is now on a campain to win public support using (children fans), and forgiveness.What is this man going to do when he is broke , and no one wants him, his current life with all it privileges ,didn't  stop him from abusing animals , (and who knows what else) I worry about him when he out of the public eye.
