WestDog, You can still compete in Schutzhund. However when you get your dogs book it may say not registered, or whatever the terminology used is. Unless you are ready to go with him, wait on the book, his registration papers may still make it in time. It only took a couple weeks for my dogs DVG book to arrive, I don't know how long the other organizations take.

Ulli,
Thank you very much for the explanation. I thought that was the steps but had not seen it explained so completely and well.

Hello CR, the papers are like German papers. I believe Oscar covered it very well as to protocal in Germany. I admire your type. A zest for understanding the procedure or any aberations or loopholes. I am not the one to educate you as it is not an area that I encounter often nor do I suspect do most. The pups were whelped here and the tatoo number placed here correlate to those on the Papers as well as name, siblings etc. The breeder adress is a long Slovakian adress with a lot of numbers in the adress. Perhaps Slovakia has different rules but the language included in my earlier post seemed to indicated that this was an export breeding...maybe pink papers like transit papers for AKC. I do not know the process well enough to opine. My contact in Slovakia reads minimal english otherwise I would be glad to write them and ask the methodology.

animules,
you are very wellcome. I could go in even further detail, but I guess this should cover it. Reason why I covered it so, is, we all read the comments on late paperwork. Sometimes, some part of the paperwork gets lost, for instance the paperwork of the tatoo guy ...... and here you go, without that, SV will not issue pedigree. So now you hunt the Tatoo guy down, he in return hopefully has copies made of his paperwork...it just takes time !
Regards Ulli
