luvmyGSD   look into the "Delta Society"   They are the national certifying agency for the vast majority of Therapy dogs.  My daughter has her dog that she takes into care homes,  and she is still waiting for a local certification class to come up,  but when it does she will pass no problem,  she's been taking her dog to these homes for a year now,  The hard part is leaving....  It's so nice to see these people smile and be interactive with the dog,  and then to have to take that away from them is heartwrenching.
