DRFNO-I had a bad track record way back when with guys. Our father was extremely abusive in every way except sexually; verbally, emotionally, mentally, physically. I had a self esteem of about minus 2. Sooo, I thought, "If your own father thought you were this useless, you must be." So I "dated down". And when things would go bad with the guy it was almost like-Hey, it's not comfortable but at least it's familiar. Plus I felt, deep down, I didn't deserve any better. Add to that the idea that if I had a guy who thought I was a POS and I could change his mind, it would be some sort of validation of my humanity. I felt very uncomfortable around "decent people" so the circle of people I surrounded myself with was full of assholes. That was my dating pool.
Thank God I joined the Marines and met my husband of almost 26 years there. Funny thing is, I was totally not attracted to him at first because he wasn't "my type". LOL I'm so glad he won me over.
So, that concludes our lesson for today. Read chapter 6 and write an essay for tomorrow.

I like George Carlin's idea for criminals. He said we should take AZ, NM. CO, and UT. and fence them off individually. He picked these states because they are square and easier to fence. He would split up all the criminals into four categories. Drug and alcohol felons would be put into CO. Murderers into NM, Rapist and child molestors into UT and I forgot the forth group that were put into AZ. For fun he would place very small gates that open into the other states periodically. They would be put on random timers. This way they would slowly sodomize, murder, overdose, and rape eachother as more and more mixed together.

yellowrose, although a high number of illegals are criminals (violent, not just breaking our immigration laws), there is no way that clinton/gore had 32,000 or 3,000 or 3 brought here to vote. there are plenty of valid reasons for disliking any or all polititions, but that story is just nuts. the dems are just not that organized or devious. i don't think the guy who killed this little boy was an immigrant, legal or otherwise. what he is, is a sick bastard who will hopefully get the death penalty and we won't have to support him for 20 years while he appeals. i read in the paper that it was an older woman who tackled the guy and knocked the cleaver/machete from his hand. others then helped subdue him til the leos got there and had to taze him. people said they had been arguing that the little boy played too many video games. don corleone, my mom thinks we should put all our gang members (southern cal, so there are LOTS) in the colesium and let them kill each other, bit by bit, until theres one left and then execute him. i'd go along w/that plus the rapists, baby killers/molesters etc. i think every state should "take care" of their own. not too familiar with utah, but colorado and new mexico are nice, i'd hate to give them over to the bad guys.

have you ever heard of australia? It was an island for criminals.
by Do right and fear no one on 14 August 2007 - 18:08
That is correct. The continent of Australia was used as a dumping ground for criminals, instead of incarcerating them. Mostly by the U.K.
I have always wanted to visit Australia because of the unique wildlife, but when in the military, the ship I was on cruising around to various locations, entered into the waters of Australia in 1973. The ships captain was going to give us liberty to go on to the land of Australia and I was extremely excited. But, the government of that location (I don't know whether it was the city or national government), informed our ships captain that the white military personnel were welcome but that non white military personnel would not be welcome nor allowed. Our ships captain then informed us of this and stated that since all of us could not go, none of us would go. I agree with his decision but sure would have loved seeing a little of that continent. Funny that a country founded by "criminals" would not welcome our country's minorities.
I have also read that non-Australian born peoples are not allowed, by law, to own property in that country.
Anyone out there from Australia, that can confirm their country's current laws concerning these two issues? Just curious.

if australia doesn't, they aren't the only ones. mexico, germany, etc etc. In mexico you can only lease up to 99 yrs and will it to family

do right, i've been to australia twice and i'd go again tomorrow if i could. the flight is hellish unless you can afford business or 1st class (i can't). i also cannot sleep on a plane, but once you're there its great. i've met alot of different people there and they have been very welcoming. my little bro was in the navy and in ~1979 or so he had leave in perth. apparently the laws or rules had changed regarding color by then. he and his shipmates had a great time (some of them are black). i don't know what the laws are for non-australians, but the aborigines do own alot of ancestral land now and have regained some areas back. the first time we went to uluru (ayers rock) , some parts were in the hands of the aborigines, but we were allowed to film all areas of uluru. i was back a couple of years ago and some areas are not to be filmed because they are considered sacred and if you are caught, they confiscate your film and i believe there is a big fine. the whole of uluru resort area is within aboriginal land and strictly managed. if you get a chance, by all means go, it is an incredible country.
