The movie was Solient Green. When I go anyone who wants to is welcome to take a bite. I can be pretty hard to digest though. Might want to keep a roll of Tums handy.

When I get to Tennessee on our 25 acres I am going to start growing my own food... period....and open my doors to rescue / rehome gsd's ( and cats and any other animal that happens to come by in need). Pray for me to get there please.
I understand the necessity of getting rid of carcasses (sp?) but I always though that vets sent pets to be cremated. I like to be informed on cuurent issues but my head must have been in the sand on this one. We are really starting to see alot of 'tainted' food - pet & human - if we're not careful, we will destroy ourselves from within or at a minimum, sterilize/neutralize our effectiveness to defend ourselves from those who would do us harm.
Goodness, we really need to stop buying foods that aren't wholesome. No wonder there is so much chronic illness and mutated cell growth going on these days. Eat whole foods! God knew what he was doing when he make our food and metabolically our bodies recognize it and use all the parts, but when we 'synthesize' the food we inevitably screw it up!
Case in point: Juice a carrot, removing the pulp and drink - pure sugar rush! Just removed all the good fiber....blend it instead. RN at Broward General Hosp spent 2 days shaking from the inside out, asking a hospital full of doctor's what could be wrong. Answer: from juicing carrots until she made muffins from the carrot pulp.....
Funny thing this conversation, my girl Chloe just went nuts trying to get my V-8 juice from me! Gave her some and she loved it....
I love a good steak but this is enough to make me want to go veggie......

Has anyone noticed this year is the first year to see double-triple headed flowers for no reason. IE: corn, dandylions, strawberries, etc? I seen vegy's in the stores also like this. What ever China did to those shipments they sent us ... has now poluted our soil, and they used our animals to do it. I've never in my life seen this many double and triples growing on this land. It looks to me, Organic went from being the best to the killer of them all. Imagine what our children will look like. Bastards.

BabyEaglette, you have a not-so-subtle and twisted sense of humor, LOL. I like it.

Yeah, this morning a news report of pulling over 80 different toys (ie; elmo, etc) from shelves because of high concentrations of lead in the paint used (from China) Many decades ago they said they would destroy us from within. Gotta stop buying stuff from there.

What are the health effects?
There are many different health effects associated with elevated blood lead levels. Young children under the age of six are especially vulnerable to lead's harmful health effects, because their brains and central nervous system are still being formed. For them, even very low levels of exposure can result in reduced IQ, learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, behavioral problems, stunted growth, impaired hearing, and kidney damage. At high levels of exposure, a child may become mentally retarded, fall into a coma, and even die from lead poisoning. Within the last ten years, children have died from lead poisoning in New Hampshire and in Alabama. Lead poisoning has also been associated with juvenile delinquency and criminal behavior.
In adults, lead can increase blood pressure and cause fertility problems, nerve disorders, muscle and joint pain, irritability, and memory or concentration problems. It takes a significantly greater level of exposure to lead for adults than it does for kids to sustain adverse health effects. Most adults who are lead poisoned get exposed to lead at work. Occupations related to house painting, welding, renovation and remodeling activities, smelters, firing ranges, the manufacture and disposal of car batteries, and the maintenance and repair of bridges and water towers, are particularly at risk for lead exposure. Workers in these occupations must also take care not to leave their work site with potentially contaminated clothing, tools, and facial hair, or with unwashed hands. Otherwise, they can spread the lead to their family vehicles and ultimately to other family members.

Well, I guess the story of China and downplaying its chance of overtaking the United States as the top gold-medal winning team in the 2008 Olympics if a factor too. Bastards.

Better Olympic gold through application of Chinese lead. Interesting strategy.
