Don Corleone

by Don Corleone on 18 July 2007 - 16:07

I personally feel that the LE around the world are too busy to deal with these issue. Ther are more pressing issues out in the world.  It is a sad story and I feel for that dog that died  in agony.  I know how I get if I haven't eaten in three hours or if I am in a confined space for an hour or two.  The sad fact, is that this will probably wind up being an animal organization running the investigation.  Sure, the police will write up their report, but with murderers and rapists on the street, what is their priority?    A.C, and other organizations, no offence Echo, don't have as qualified investigators and detectives as a police department.

Not to get off the subject, but that reminds me of a show I watched with my wife on Animal Planet. I think it was Animal Precinct in Detroit.  The man and woman, from the Michigan Humane Society, were on a call to a neglected dog.  They got there with no one home, but the dog was chained up outside.  They stuck a sticker on the door stating they would retun the next day.  They went to the dog and dumped a whole 30-40lb bag of food out by the chained dog.  When they returned the next day, the dog was lying on his side in pain, his belly was huge, and the lady said, "I think the dog has bloat."

Don Corleone:  I find your comment about the eyes darting up and to the left facinating.  Reason being, I attended Drug Investigation/Interogation training given by the DEA many years ago, and one of the things they taught me is the procedure to watch the eyes of the person being interogated, to ascertain lies.

Once you know the procedure, it is "deemed" more accurate than the polygraph.  I believe the polygraph was approximately 72% accurate (I could be wrong about that figure, it's been awhile), but I do remember that the "eye sign" system was touted as being appropximately 97 % accurate.

If anyone wants to know how it works, I would be glad to summarize it here, but will leave out the "meat" so that all of those dog fighters (are you out there Abhar and Michael Vick) reading this, will not be able to fool the cops when they are investigated.

I used to use it on my wife and kids but had to stop as it will drive you and them crazy.  Of course, we all know when our spouses and kids are lying to us anyway, so it wasn't necessary.  Sometimes though, you just don't want to know that you are being lied to.  Trust me.

It is not based on a "he is lying" or "he is telling the truth" kind of result.  Rather, it is based on "he THOUGHT about lying" or "he did not think about lying" result.  When you use the eye sign system for determining if someone is lying to you, depending on several factors that you have to ascertain, you then ask the question and observe the eyes, and "it" will tell you whether or not the person THOUGHT lying to your question.  They may have went ahead and told the truth at that time (one could assume if they even thought about lying, then they are hiding something), but then you go to the next question (using the info that they THOUGHT about lying to your previous question as a guide and phrasing your next question accordingly), and you will be able to ascertain whether this person is lying to you.  It has never failed for me.  Later proven information has always backed up my initial findings that the person was a liar or telling the truth.  It is facinating stuff and I use it on politicians on TV all of the time, just for entertainment (cause basically we know they all are lying, almost all of the time anyway).  I use it on my relatives when they are giving excuses why they did not come to this and that family event, and stuff like that.  It sort of comes natural after awhile, but at first, you have to concentrate until you get the hang of it.

P.S.  A lot of people have the habit of not looking you in the eyes when talking to you.  Don't assume that they are not telling you the truth because of that.  That is not what "eye sign" is all about.  Although that can and does fit in with "body language" reading, which I was also taught, on a limited scale.  We concentrated on the eye sign system.

I'm not trained in the eye junk but to me it seemed he was looking in the direction he was pointing pertaining to the store the puppy fliers were hung. Also he looked as if he could have been looking back in his mind since it happened awhile back and he was trying to recall events. ??? Just my take.

andreddi, it was a good post.   I do hope a full investigation is done and the people that caused the poor dog to die are held accountable.

andreddi,  No nothing wrong with your post at all !    This was more about how some people the RAT Pack (no your not part of that)  are so quick to jump on anyone who voices a "Judgement" call without having ALL THE FACTS !!   In fact they're whole attack on previous threads were about "Media Hype",    I just chose to call them to they're OWN task for once.

I do appologize to you for "Hijacking" the thread.  That was not the intention but it did happen,  and Yes I do feel the POINT needed to made to them.

Your fine andreddi,   Just don't let them run you off.    :-)
