Its cooked chicken bones that are sharp,,,a raw meat and bone are pliable and will not splinter.......some germans dont chew their food they gulp it down in one bite., and swallow    You have to be careful with any food if your pup or dog gulps his food    feed smaller amounts and wet the food......I would take a butcher knife to the raw necks and wings and backs and make them small pieces instead of the whole thing , if dog is a gulper.......It is advertised by Solid Gold that feeding GReen Cow tripe helps prevent bloat....www.solidgoldhealth.com

The best thing about a raw diet is you know exactly what you are feeding your dog.   But when your feeding a real high quality kibble like Orijen or Abaday you shouldn't have to worry.  Both these companies manufacture their own food.

The problem with most kibble companies is they have co-packer agreements with other companies that actually do the manufacturing and just market their food in other words they are just marketing companies and have little or no control in the manufacturing process.     Then you are playing russian roulette with your dog. Because it's anybody guess what's actually in that food.

I can't overemphasis this enough you have to know who manufactures the food your feeding your dog unless you feed them raw.
