That's kewl, venzosmom, and thanks policemom : -} I too was scared the first time I showed. Still am, LOL. I took Chaos to his groomer yesterday so she could clean him up for me and drummel his little toe toes. I told her that after seeing some of these dogs that will be there online, I don't think he even has a chance! She said now wait a minute, yes he does, and that he has the personality for the ring that they are looking for. I've already told him and I'll tell him before we go into the ring that I love him no matter what, just like I do every other time. Thanks for the encouragment, and we will do our best : - } I'll let ya know how he does, win or not, lol. Thanks again.

I WISH YOU THE BEST DAY.
Anything you do with your dog, is wonderful. To many of them in backyards and never get to see the front of the house. SO BOTH OF YOU ARE ALREADY CHAMPIONS IN MY BOOK....
GO CHAOS, GO

Chaos showed at the Premier today. He was one of many champions in the ring. He wasn't one of the top 4 though. I talked to the judge afterwards and asked her what she did or didn't like. She said she really liked everything about him, but she is for the more modern type of GSD. She said his gate was awesome, and his rear end is one of the strongest she has seen in a GSD his age {1 yr. 1 mo.} She said his color is just gorgious, and his head is magnificent. And that if she was for the longer coat, he would have been up there. She said to keep showing him, and he will continue to do great, especially with judges that like the longer coat on the GSD. It was great that she was as honest as she could be, and that I know that she didn't like him because he sucked or something, LOL. She loved his temperamant too, she said. Looking forward to tomorrow as we are showing indoors and it will be air conditioned, and not 95 degrees, lol. I'll let ya know how things go to morrow. I was very happy with his performance today, and was very proud of him the way he carried him self. Thanks for the support all : - }

Shepherd women My hat goes off to you. What a lot of people don't understand it just not a lap around the ring and good bye. It is hard work before and after reguardless if it is SV, AKC or UKC. So have fun and enjoy the SPORT as it was meant to be "FUN"

by Shepherd Woman on 17 June 2007 - 11:06
Thanks EKvonEarnhardt. And yes we are having fun. There were a lot of beautiful dogs there yesterday, as there will be today. Chaos was a complete gentlemen, and it was amazing at how many people approached us and nothing but great things to say about him. Everyone just loves his coloring and longer hair. Most people have no idea if you don't know shepherds that there even is a long coated shepherd, and very surprised when they hear about him.

Yesterday was a very long day for both Chaos and myself too. I woke him up at 5:30 to go outside and while doint that I got ready. We had to be to the fair grounds by 7:30 to bump him up to Ch. class. We were there until around 2:30, then came home for 3 hours and headed out again. I took him to bring your dog to the ball park night at our local AAA ball club field. Got home around 11. He fell to sleep at the ball park up in the bleachers, and then slept all the way home. Can't believe how alive he is this morning running around our back yard playing with his sisters. Hope he is this alive at the show, lol.

Well, Premier is over with now and both days we showed was a wonderful experience. I had so much fun with him this weekend and we got compliment after compliment about his coloring, his temperament, and on and on. He didn't make it into his group either day, but both judges gave me a lot of feed back. One was not a long coat person, but said that he did everything right and to keep showing him. The one today said that he has no chest! and to put some weight on him, other wise he thought he was wonderful. His chest hasn't dropped yet as he is only a year old. I'm sure when it does, he will look even better. Any way, we had tons of fun, and it was a great show experience all around. Hope to do something at the K9 Fancier coming up first weekend in July. Catch ya then
