4pack, You might want to try giving her pedilite, if she likes popsicles they make it in them to.
I can tell you to watch it, because once this sets in, you get alot of anger at this mess. Having the board to vent to helps alot, otherwise it would have been my family taking all of it.
I am so very sorry for you and your family.

It is hard to lose someone you love. I am sorry that she had a hard life to begin with, but very happy for her that she had a cushy/loving home at the end.
I think you could have your other dogs blood work done and check the bun/creatine levels, as Rezkat5 stated, and that may anwser your questions about the food. I am no expert on this one, so talk to your vet.
again, I wish you the best.

Thank you all again. She did eat 2 cans of food last night and drank about a quart of water. This morning she wont eat or drink. Very unqordinated this morning. Last night she said hi to everyone coming and going to the food/water dish/potty breaks. We got a tail wag and nose on the side. This morning she is listless and not herself. She has not pottied since eating last night, so I am still waiting that. She is outside getting some fresh morning air with her food and water by her side.
Thanks again all for the warm wishes and advice. The vet she is attending is a huge facility and they have a few specialists as well. I am confident it is the best care in this area. 45 minutes from home and one of the few with 24 ER care.
It's crazy to think she was down at the river with the other adult dogs playing in the water fetching her sticks and ball. SO quickly things can change.
