Two Moons

by Two Moons on 09 October 2013 - 12:10

I can't wait to ask the father and the son a few hard questions.
I can't wait to answer theirs.

If I came it would be right at supper time..lol

I'm a very basic meat and potatoes kinda guy gouda, nothing fancy.
My wife is always trying new things, I hate experiments.
If I could, I'd eat Elk steaks off a grill with hickory smoked in, mashed potatoes and milk gravy, with green beans prepared with a little onion and bacon mixed in on the side, and a large ice cold glass of fresh milk.

Oh !
and pie, I love pie, a fruit pie, cherry, apple, blackberry..... fruit pie.
Except this time of year i go for pumpkin pie.

I think eating cherry pie would be wayyyy more interesting. LoL Jesus as a gov't conspiracy..... Oh, oh, I am going to need two slices for that one!!

Carlin

Interesting to ponder perhaps, but as it is, little more than tabloid fodder, and evidently not new.  Seems Atwill has been trying to profit off of his inconclusive assertions for some time now.

I didn't say I took it as fact, I said it was interesting.  I don't have the time to do enough research to validate his findings, nor would I waste it if I did.

Carlin I have no recollection of the post you refer to, and it does not
sound like something I'd say.  Will have to revisit it and see if I'm
wrong.  A link would help, please, if you can.

I have said on several occasions that I believe there is a christian
tendency, here & elsewhere, to see things so much through the
eyes of someone with a faith that they cannot comprehend what
it is like to be an atheist, and see the worldview of someone who
just accepts that the world is as it is, that there are no fairy tale
answers, no deeper meanings, no post-mortem rewards.  That view-
point is why I don't feel the need to have some belief system 'to stand
on';  to back up / 'guarantee' my argument that there is no rationality in
a belief in religion.   {Does not mean I feel I have any monopoly on being
rational.  Just that I don't fully understand why those with 'faith' feel they
do.]

Though I'm tempted to believe it is that precise inability to concept-
ualise an atheistic p.o.v. that leads them into telling tall stories and
making up nonsense about atheists, a la this World Agenda crap.
