SS, do those dogs look like the old type that comes to mind? You know, like I described working around the farm or home like a good dog should? Lol.

Joan, for the most part, no. They look like modern German show lines, which is what's in most of the bloodlines they have. And the Canadian kennel they've bred to is one that neither I nor Sarah think is a good choice.

anyways...what am I looking for? I think this dog is way cool and has that OLD STYLE look I like but he's a current dog.  Can anyone tell me if he has older bloodlines?

Here is a modern dog that meets my ideal...assuming he has a great temperament, balanced nerves, working ability, health, blah-blah..the essentials

Thoughts?

He's long in the back and his pasterns and feet could be better, but I really like his top line.l

The main um - problem, if you will - is his breeding - Karthago dogs are REALLY hard-core working lines! This dog or his progeny would be a LOT of dog to to deal with!

Thanks, Sun for your input! I just love his old style look and working ability. He does have videos online (or at least he did).

Anyone have any progeny of this guy or have seen him work in person?  I believe he is in Germany....

The SV needs to get with the times and allow A.I.!! hahaha

I guess I do like that "farm dog" look. Anyone know where else I can find these versatile "farm dogs" of other bloodlines?
