I think we now know what kind of person Malindaa is.  In all this long sordid tale her story has never changed, she has not waivered, she has remained standing behind her very first words.  The original poster has vanished.  From almost the beginning once Malinda became involved, I felt that we were not really getting the entire factual truth from the orginal complaintant.  I still feel that way and frankly I feel that Malinda has gone WELL above what she should.  Honestly I feel that she should no longer offer a full refund.  It was offered, numerous times, they refused, they evaded, they whined, they vanished.   If they want sympathy then they have it, but now is the time to get over it and get on with it.

poop or get off the pot for pity sake.

I do not believe Von Erzengel story has changed at all.  She just stop arguing... She has posted her email address for ANYONE that wants to see the vet reports or X-ray, She also has video's of Zach to share.  I find it HARD to believe that Malinda has not seen the X-ray or vet reports, that I personally have seen.  All you have to do is request the information from Von Erzengel and she will be more then happy to send it to you...  I agree Malinda has said OVER AND OVER she would refund the money but who at this point would ever return the dog at this point...  Be real....    I am not saying Malinda is a bad person or bad breeder..  I am just saying give Von Erzengel the respect too...  She is dealing with a lot due to this bad breeding.

I feel Malinda should take that step of getting all the proof, in which  I can send what I have to her.  And she should give up on getting ZACH back and just give the money back....

Malinda, Yes being myself, I can get attached to a puppy within matters of a day (If I truly see high potentials in the pup) because it happen to me when I thought I'd pickup the right dog from a friends house to board. The dog that I picked up was absolutely gorgeous. Nice thick coat and very good conformation.

Heck you can judge for yourself if you like http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/499668.html.

It turned out that I had the wrong dog and that I had to bring “her” back to my friends house the next day.. When I drove her to my friends house. I started crying. I had to tell myself that this was for the best. I had to calm myself down (I was really upset) and to be rational because after all this is business were dealing with It also made me a better person and to be better at letting dogs go back to their owners after boarding them for certain amount of time.

Human psychology in emotions is a powerful subject to learn and it's very valuable :)

I thought the rest of the siblings were doing just fine? You even told us that you kept back 3 puppies ( I assume to keep for your breeding program????) from the litter, most went to law enforcement officers homes and 2 went to pet homes.. If you decided to abort the re breeding of these 2 dogs because of this ONE incident.. Theirs more to be told.. Just how many dogs from the litter had good hips/elbows and how many were diagnosed of having bad hips/elbows? Are all of these puppies required OFA evaluation? I can't wait to see the results in the future :)

k9cop5,

you asked: “Why should she refund her money without getting this dog back?”

Because it's the responsible thing to do??? After all.. isn't it already painful for the pup to experience yet another flight? Lets think about what's the best for the pup.

You asked: “Can you buy a big screen, call Sony, tell them it doesn't work, keep the TV AND get your money back?  Don't think so.”

Uh, I think you're missing the point here.. A TV and Pets are totally different. Pets could feel pain.. Tvs cant. If the TV doesn't work.. you can easily repair it by taking it to the repair shop. If something is genetically wrong with a pet, its not so easy to fix and it could cost a fortune and bundle of emotions to get it fixed up by a specialist surgeon.

You said: “As far as the human psychy, I love my dog, but if I noticed "major defects", she would go back.”

Oh really? Well when the day comes when you buy a puppy from 8 weeks.. bond with it very good ( have your kids bond with it as well). and all of the sudden the vet comes to you with the bad news of the dog whom you known for 8 weeks has HD/ED... I'd like to see you put on that “tough guy” costume and try to get rid of it. The only way that you can over come this emotions is if you not bond with the pup until after it happens.

There is something that I find very odd here.

The breeder tried to take the puppy back numerous times and was denied. Now last night we had a volunter offer to pick up the dog, refund the money, and provide medical care. Don't you people find it odd that in less than 24 hrs. after this offer a 7 month old dog is now supposedly within hours of dying?

Brittany,

I have bonded and had the misfortune of having dogs euthanized.  I'm sure many on this thread have.  It hurts, but, the buyer claims she noticed problems from the SECOND day, she should have returned it THEN.  She refused.  Even you said you cried all the way, but you did what was best.  You did the right thing.  You don't know me, I too would have bawled like a baby, but we do what's right.  I have been a police officer for 12 years, I get hardened at alot of things, my dogs are not one!  Malinda does love her dogs, and although I have not talked to her about this, I'm sure if this dog is in pain, so is Malinda.

Malinda has said she would drive to CA so the dog would not be on a flight.  She's tried to do what is right.  The buyer needs to do the same.

Malinda's integrity speaks for itself.  She has not waivered, she came on right from the start taking responsibity for the pup.  We can argue all day, but it won't change the facts.  No pup, no refund.  I'm not a breeder, but I would do the same.

I have one police K9, and I can promise everyone out there, my next dog will be purchased from Malinda Julien.  She is a person of the highest integrity and has served the law enforcement community very well for several years.  I am proud to be a part of that family.

well, the vet has said she will tell me nothing.  So, with only a radiograph of hips, that is the only medical records I have received. For all these maladies and deformities, he is now dying and this is all I have.

I've had my share of  "defective" puppies over the years and I have to agree with Brittany. There's no way I could have sent them back. As corny as it might sound, I figure God must have sent me these special pups because He knew I wouldn't turn my back on them. The money I spent on them pales in comparison to what they gave back to me. Sorry if there are some here who can't understand that.

by noob on 29 June 2007 - 02:06

I'm a noob so bear with me. The price of these pups is pretty exspensive for puppies,  I mean $3500 bucks, that have been evaluated for 12 weeks (that's just from her site). However , I'm unsure of what the OP paid.  If I paid a good amount of money, I would expect better quality.

Than again, you have to stick by your contract, which, you did. I've had to put down dogs that I've owned for years, and it is not an easy task, as I loved all my dogs, and I would never let them suffer.

I just think it is a fault in communication, and an abnomaly in the breeding.

No one else has responded with a defect with the same problem in any litter that was produced?

In Addition, I have many contacts with LEO's in the Fremont area (San Fransisco Bay Area).

noob,

she paid 800 usd

by Blitzen on 29 June 2007 - 02:06

I'll keep my dogs too regardless of how they turn out. I would not buy from a breeder who requires the return of the dog. In most cases there is no valid reason to require that. I can't believe that most here would voluntarily give back a 6 month old dog. Sure she should have sent the dog back right after she got it, but she didn't, why none of us can know for sure.  There are conflicting stories. The breeder has a raft of new posters signed on here in the last few day supporting her version and speaking up for her. The buyer has no one.

Don't bash Triodegirl and Brittany for saying they would not return this puppy, there are others who feel the same way but who are not going to put their heads on the block by admitting that here. I'd rather sell a dog to either Triodegirl or Brittany than someone who asks - what does it matter who has the dog if its going to be PTS anyway.

Flame away.............
