I don't want to hear the BS - I was raised that way, don't know any better. No one had a more racial upbringing that I did, my father and his German G-father who raised him hated and I do mean hated anyone who wasn't a WASP.
I've noticed that some here who make the most noise about Obama were also involved in the same type of negative rhetoric at this time in 2008. They had already decided that he was not going to be a good leader long before he won the election. Based on what?
by Blitzen on 28 September 2012 - 12:09
Opinion pieces are just that - statements and articles based on personal opinions that are generally intended to inflame. For example - During a fund raiser Romney said that almost half the citizens of the US are bums who don't want to work and who will never vote for him because he will take away all their free stuff.
Factual reporting depends on the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. For example -During a recent fund raiser Romney said that 47% of the American people don't pay income taxes and feel as if they are entitled.
See the difference?

Well, we certainly can't spell it!

Blitzen you are so right on. Thank you for your comments and as always good posts.
Preston at the time of Wounded Knee I was in college at Northern Oklahoma College--used to be Jr College--in Tonkawa, OK. which is 16 miles west of Ponca City. I say that to explain how I became involved. Anyway one of the AIM members was Carter Camp and he was called the "Ponca Connection". I managed a pizza place at night right across from the campus. I was friends with quite a few of the Tonkawas and they came in pretty regularly. Then I noticed a lot of Siouxs started coming in and I knew none of them went to school there. But it got to where almost every night the place would be packed with Siouxs and different Indians I had never seen. Being part detective, as I told you before, I got to making friends with them and then I found out what was really going on--not only in S. Dakota, but at the pizza place. They were using it to have their meetings about how things were going to be done and several things. Radical as I am, of course I naturally was for their and got more involved into what was really going on. Now that doesn't mean I knew everything--but it is my understanding that one of the men Peltier was accused of killing was shot by a fellow agent and they damn sure wanted that kept under the table. The other one I don't know but I feel it in my heart that Peltier had absolutely nothing to do with killing anyone. The way I understand he was a kind gentle person. I also know that Dickie Wilson-their chief at the time--also had his little bunch of GOONS--Guardians Of the Oglala Nation--doing drive bys and all that--the weapons and ammo they used were provided by the government to keep the AIM people away AND they (US Gov't) were using tribal lands to dump different kind of wastes--I think like uranium and stuff--that noone else wanted on their lands. AIM originally came in not only to investigate that but also there were the traditionalists and the non traditionalists and they wanted to help the traditionalists regain their native ways. A lot of people think AIM (American Indian Movement for anyone that doesn't know) was started in the S.Dakota area, but it was actually started in I believe St Paul MN. by Clyde Bellecourt for the purpose of stopping not only racism but also deaths that were happening of unknown causes while Indians were in jail there. You know you go to jail for public drunk and you never come out alive. They were never meant to be a radical or violent group--they just wanted to help their brothers and sisters whereever they were needed. Dickie Wilson was a halfbreed and he didn't want the traditionalists to know or have anything to do with the politics of the nation (rez) because he was getting paid royal sums and by golly that dollar bill means everything to a lot of people.so that is what little I know. So now I will get off my little soapbox this morning and go see what else I can get into today. LOL............ RACISM IS WRONG AND EVIL..........................and anyone who promotes it needs to examine their own heart and mind.

"Based on what?"
Based on what our country is......(or was).
a country that:
welcomes all races of people that come her legally.
believes that all citizens are born with equal rights given by God and nature - but our outcoms are not guaranteed.
gives everyone a chance to learn skills and trades (public schools) and the ability to make a good living for themselves.
where some people, who make excellent choices and have the drive can become rich.
the believes that self reliance is a positive thing, and relying on government is frowned upon, exceptions for sick, mentally challanged, elderly...
that believes that self responsibility is all important..........
that is proud of its accomplishments........
Obama believes in huge government more and more controll of our lives, and spreading the wealth, creating more and more social programs...creating more and more roadblocks for business....... I can go on and on.... but basicly his beliefs and completely different than mine.
I did not and do not believe he is the right choice for our country, and his record proves it.
I don't care what color he is, if Hilliry were president, I would be just a against her...........its not color its socialist beliefs I do not like.........

by Keith Grossman on 28 September 2012 - 18:09
And all you'd be doing is spreading the same lies and propaganda you've been fed. Obama believes in none of those things.
"I did not and do not believe he is the right choice for our country, and his record proves it."
His record of having gotten us out of a war that we never should have been in in the first place or his record of turning around the worst financial disaster since the Great depression or his record of having made health care coverage available to millions who previously didn't have it or his recordof having killed Osama Bin Laden or his record of having increased government spending less than any administration in 60 years or...
"I don't care what color he is...its not color its socialist beliefs I do not like."
Bullshit; you don't even know the meaning of the word, "socialism."
by SitasMom on 28 September 2012 - 18:09
keith - prove it! show me the links of what he's said and then the legislation that proves he has done something about it.

I never liked Obama and it wasn't because of race. It was because he is a sheep dipped cia creation, "Finders" type special little boy but so was Bill Clinton, whose father was Nelson Rockefeller imo. By the way Clinton's case officer was GHWB the same man who was responsible for the JFK assassination along with J. Edgar Mary, LBJ, Nixon, Allen Dulles, Lemnitzer and Lansdale (Op40). When you track the spider web it all leads back to the same small group. Col. Fletcher Prouty called them "the Secret Team".
But alas all these secrets are protected by the public's naivete and the incredulousness of these facts which just won't fit into their heads. So national security classifications are really not even needed, because most folks just can't and won't believe the truth unless it was announced by the mainstream media which will never happen since it consists of 6 major int'l news corps, three of which are major defense contractors and war profiteers and the other three are part of "the club".
If Obama was legit, he would never have been allowed to be pres by "the Club". Ron Paul was legit and look at how the Repub leadership faked votes in the nomination process and performed disgusting tricks. This has been their specialty unfortunately ever since Karl Rove came on the scene.

Do your own research, see if the elements of this post are valid or not. If they are what are the implications for our Republic in America?
Is this the way you want government to work?
Think about this.
> Executive Orders Issued...
> Teddy Roosevelt: 3
> Others Prior To FDR: NONE
> FDR: 11 in 16 years
> Truman: 5 in 7 years
> Ike: 2 in 8 years
> JFK: 4 in 3 years
> LBJ: 4 in 5 years
> Nixon: 1 in 6 years
> Ford: 3 in 2 years
> Carter: 3 in 4 years
> Reagan: 5 in 8 years
> Bush 1: 3 in 4 years
> Clinton: 15 in 8 years
> Bush 2: 62 in 8 years
> Obama: 923 in 3½ years!
> If you don’t get the implications you’re not paying attention. How
> many warnings do you need?
> Scary!
> 923 Executive Orders in 40 Months
> During my lifetime, all Presidents have issued Executive Orders, for
> reasons that vary, some more than others.
> When a President issued as many as 30 Executive Orders during a term
> in Office, people thought there was something amiss.
> WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT 923 EXECUTIVE ORDERS IN ONE PART OF ONE
> TERM?????? YES, THERE IS A REASON.
>
> IT IS THAT THE PRESIDENT IS DETERMINED TO TAKE CONTROL AWAY FROM THE
> HOUSE AND THE SENATE.
> Even some Democrats in the House have turned on him, plus a very
> small number of Democrat Senators question him. HE SHOULD BE
> QUESTIONED. WHAT IS HE REALLY TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH????
> DOES THIS SCARE YOU AS MUCH AS IT DOES ME?
> ________________________________
> Not really surprising that he appointed “Czars” to be in charge of
> everything.
> Emperor Obama?
> Coming soon to a neighborhood near you.
> ....THIS IS NOT FUNNY, AND IF YOU VOTE FOR HIM AGAIN, YOU CAN EXPECT
> MORE!
> Remember what he told Russia‘s Putin: “I’ll be more flexible after
> I’m re-elected.”
> THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION: Obama has signed 923 Executive Orders in
> 40 months!
> What did Congress do in those 40 months? (The House - considerable.
> The Senate - nothing, not even a budget nor allowing any House bill to
> be considered.) A whole new order must prevail in Washington DC as a
> result of this next election! Now look at these:
> -EXECUTIVE ORDER 10990 allows the government to take over all modes
> of transportation and control of highways and seaports.
> -EXECUTIVE ORDER 10995 allows the government to seize and control
> the communication media.
> -EXECUTIVE ORDER 10997 allows the government to take over all
> electrical power, gas, petroleum, fuels, and minerals.
> -EXECUTIVE ORDER 10998 allows the government to take over all food
> resources and farms.
> -EXECUTIVE ORDER 11000 allows the government to mobilize civilians
> into work brigades under government supervision.
> -EXECUTIVE ORDER 11001 allows the government to take over all
> health, education, and welfare functions.
> -EXECUTIVE ORDER 11002 designates the registration of all persons.
> Postmaster General to operate a national registration.
> -EXECUTIVE ORDER 11003 allows the government to take over all
> airports and aircraft, including commercial aircraft.
> -EXECUTIVE ORDER 11004 allows the Housing and Finance Authority to
> relocate communities, build new housing with public funds, designate
> areas to be abandoned, and establish new locations for populations.
> -EXECUTIVE ORDER 11005 allows the government to take over railroads,
> inland waterways and public storage facilities.
> -EXECUTIVE ORDER 11049 assigns emergency preparedness functions to
> federal departments and agencies, consolidating 21 operative Executive
> Orders issued over a fifteen year period.
> -EXECUTIVE ORDER 11051 specifies the responsibility of the Office of
> Emergency Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders
> into effect in times of increased international tensions and economic
> or financial crisis.
> -EXECUTIVE ORDER 11310 grants authority to the Department of Justice
> to enforce the plans set out in Executive Orders, to institute
> industrial support, to establish judicial and legislative liaison, to
> control all aliens, to operate penal and correctional institutions,
> and to advise and assist the President.
> -EXECUTIVE ORDER 11921 allows the Federal Emergency Preparedness
> Agency to develop plans to establish control over the mechanisms of
> production and distribution of energy sources, wages, salaries, credit
> and the flow of money in U.S. financial institutions in any undefined
> national emergency. It also provides that, when a state of emergency
> is declared by the President, Congress cannot review the action for
> six months.
> Feel free to verify the “Executive Orders” at will... and these are
> just the major ones. I’m sure you’ve all heard the tale of the “Frog
> in the Pot”. You comfortable??? Watch Obama’s actions, not his words!
> By his actions he will show you where America is headed.
> Sounds to me like he is superseding the Constitution of the USA.
> But, yet I did not find any provision in the U.S. Constitution for
> such Executive Orders.
> Just this week, Obama has issued a new Executive Order that seeks to
> “harmonize” U.S. economic regulations with the rest of the world. This
> new Executive Order is yet another incremental step that is pushing us
> closer to a North American Union and a one world economic system.
> Unfortunately, most Americans have absolutely no idea what is
> happening.
> The American people need to understand that Barack Obama is
> constantly looking for ways to integrate the United States more deeply
> with the rest of the world. The globalization of the world economy has
> accelerated under Obama, and this latest Executive Order represents a
> fundamental change in U.S. economic policy. Now federal regulators
> will be required to “harmonize” their work with the international
> community.
> THIS IS DIFFICULT TO BELIEVE??
> THEN PROVE TO YOURSELF IT’S WRONG.
