I am not a breeder - I am just someone reading this messageboard and I have a few questions and comments:

I do not believe Von Erzengel is making this stuff up.  I have seen all the medical receipts and x-rays.  They do not seem flake to me.  What would she have to gain in making this up.    It looks like both parties are so fustrated and angry now that they are on defensive.  I think this is all very unfortunate.

I do not blame her for not sending the Dog back...  She has to be attached to this little guy now...  If she took him to the vet last night she must love him and take good care of him.

Malinda - what about the litter mates?  How are they doing?  Any problems at all...  This might have been answers above, but there are so many replies its hard to get all the information.

If  you really want to see this dog, why don't you get on a plane and fly out and see him.  Talk to her Vets.  See what you can find out...  All this talk about her making all this up.  I do not believe you are purposly breeding bad dogs, or least I pray your not, but stop all the she said, I said and go see the pupppy for yourself.  Then let us all know what your conclusions are.

Balik:

I have never been given the information on the dog from the vet.

I offered money back within day 2 (she could not have been that attached then) and have offered now 22 times since then

I did not know the vet's name nor was I given that information.

I can't show up at her house in California without her saying come get him - called trespassing

I have (3) of the littermates kept here for my own program.  All three females are bright and happy

(5) went to Law Enforcement officers and they are either in training for narcotics detection or waiting to get into a school at 12 months

(2) pups went to pet homes.  The other one is on the East Coast and doing just fine.

The sire, Henry, has not been bred again and the female, Caliber, is sadly to be spayed.

We'll never have the full scoop on this dog and what went wrong.  10/11 pups are great and normal.  That does not mean I do not take this pup seriously.  If you would have read the entire thing, I have continually offered her the money back, but the agreement is for return of the pup.

She doesn't want to do that and has turned it down consistently since DAY 2!

Now she says she doesn't want a refund, just for the BBB to take care of me and have AKC pull my license (whatever that means)

I still will never know what happened to this pup or the true extent of his faults.

She says he is dying right now and she won't say why.

I think everyone is sick to death of this thread.  I for one am going to end it unless I can come up with information from the vet on this pup.  It is important for all us to know as many of these lines exist in today's breeding programs.

other than that, the defense of myself is stopping.  I am not being overly defensive, just being consistent:  SEND THE DOG BACK AND I WILL REFUND YOUR  MONEY>

FROM Dec 11 - June 28, same story.

malinda,

You obviously don't know the human psychology..

Say if I bought a puppy from you.. The puppy ended up becoming HD/ED and/or geneticly deformed in some sort of way.. I admit that I get strongly attached to a dog that is my own.. For a perfect example.

My bitch zambi, Zambi von haus Barkus. the night before her vet appointment to get her Hips/elbows x-rayed.. I stared at her eyes.. and I told her that I promise to still be her owner regards of her results.. bad or good. I was already attached to Zambi, as I consider her to be like my daughter with 4 legs, sharp teeth and pointy ears. I could never get rid of Zambi, if she had bad hips and/or elbows.

How the hell can you expect somebody like me to just give up the dog in order to get my money back? Stop playing the hostage game and give back Sandra's money.

By the way I would apperiate it if you could give us some sort of certification results regarding to your bitches hips (you need to update your website). You obviously did not send off the xrays to OFA when you shipped off the elbows because I searched for the results and only got the elbow ones instead.

By the way.. malinda

you said "The sire, Henry, has not been bred again and the female, Caliber, is sadly to be spayed."

Why hasn't Henry been bred? and why are you going to spay Caliber? Something fishy is going on here. I'm curious.

Brittany:  I did not rebreed them because if anything ANYTHING is true, I don't want to reproduce that.  Nothing more than that.  Don't you think that is responsible?

What do you mean something "fishy"??

And at 2 days I doubt you are that attached ..??

I adopted a dog for my mom (she was the perfect dog for my mom...I dont know how else to explain it) - a dog they said was five years old and healthy....three days later we found out she was eight and had a heart murmur and was mildly dog aggressive....but mom didnt care because she was already in love with the old gal.

I am not defending or speaking out against anyone here because I have none of the details and it isnt my place - I did want to say though that yes....you can become attached in as little as two days.  Not everyone does...but some people....I know I am...which I figure is why I will have to be very careful when I get my next dog...because I think I have been lucky so far.

Brittany,

Why should she refund her money without getting this dog back?

Can you buy a big screen, call Sony, tell them it doesn't work, keep the TV AND get your money back?  Don't think so.

As far as the human psychy, I love my dog, but if I noticed "major defects", she would go back.

And as far as "fishy", it's obvious you don't know Malinda and you don't know her dogs.  A very large portion of her clients are cops and her dogs are working out on the streets.

Have you read the thread at all, Brittany?? Give me a break. The buyers vet ( the vet that had never seen that color and said it wasnt purebred, btw) told her that the dog would've been obviously defective at 8 weeks and she got it at 9 weeks. She complained THE SECOND DAY she had the dog and was offered her money back and REFUSED.  She should've sent the dog back then.  She chose to keep the dog and bond to it.

Mailnda, do you have a signed contract from her that clearly states she has to send the dog back for a refund/replacement? If so, end of argument, period.

I would like to say that my puppy contract does not require the return of a dog with a genetic defect such as HD, etc, BUT I do require the right to get a second opinion on the dog, since some vets get their degrees from a cracker jack box. I've heard of dogs being put down for pano. Basically, you cant send me the dogs' ashes and expect a new dog.

Since you want to be so snotty and demand Malinda post certifications, how about you demand the owner post pictures of this deathly ill puppy? With a digital camera, so its time/date stamped?  I would like to see that. Hostage game my ass, Mailnda's the one that cant get a hold of the dog and see whats wrong with it. I would WANT my breeder to see firsthand the dog's problem, yet she wants to hide it...hmmmmmm.

KCzaja,

BRAVO!

Doesn't anyone find it odd that the owner does not answer the very valid questions that have been posed on this list? Malinda has been on this board for the better part of two days defending herself. Numerous students, puppy buyers, and associates have posted their POSTIVE experiences and HEALTHY dogs. I track with a LITTERMATE to Zach. She is active, VERY robustly healthy, smart, beautiful, and has a wonderful temperament. Her owners are of SOUND MIND and our vet recognized this puppy as a NICE DOG from day one (and she actually didn't think she was a "mixed breed" as the OP's vet did). I've been so bemused by this situation from just a couple of days after she received the puppy, when she advised Malinda that her vet wanted to do surgery to retrieve the as-yet undecended testicle on a 9-week-old puppy! Does this not set of MAJOR alarm bells in serious dog people's minds?! If this is her vet, he/she probably referred her to the "specialist" who took the pretty poor-looking, overexposed Xrays of an unidentified dog with poor positioning as well; are we concerned yet?

I have purchased dogs from a lot of different breeders over the years and it NEVER would occur to me to post my issues, if I had any, in forum such as this. It's unprofessional. Malinda answers all her emails and phone calls, just like she's answered every allegation here today.

The poster said her motive was to make sure people knew about Malinda and what kind of person she is. Well, I think she's done that, shown Malinda to be the wonderful breeder and friend those of us who know her already know she is. And if I didn't already have two of Malinda's dogs and even if I didn't know her, this entire string would make me WANT to go buy my next dog from her! And, as a matter of fact, I think I'll do just that! So thank you very much Sandra Cobet for putting a good breeder through hell so she can illustrate under EXTREME abuse what a professional and ethical breeder would do and how she would act. Imagine how wonderful she'd be with a SANE and reasonable puppy owner?! It's a shame you never knew, never became one of our "family." I can't imagine ANY breeder wanting to sell you a dog now, knowing how you choose to resolve your conflicts.

I'm really sick of this thread and this board. I'm going back outside in the sunshine to work with my dogs. . . .

May Zach rest in peace.
