I am feeding Mervin 2 1/2 cups in the morning and 2 1/2 cups in the evening. I aslo add 5 ml salmon oil. I plan to increase it six cups in a week or so.
For Max who is 5+ months I give total 4 cups per day divided into three meals. For the night meal he gets 5 ml salmon oil. For the morning meal i give him 500 mg of Vitamin C and for the afternoon meal a Vitamin E capsule.

When Max was 2 months old he was chubby and the bones look heavy (i.e. width). However, when now i.e., at 5 months that heaviness of bones has gone and they appear longer and thinner. Longer is due to vertical growth. But what about width of the bone? I spoke to a breeder yesterday who told me that insufficient fat is responsible for that. He also told me that commercial foods are responsible for that. I really want to know why this happens?
