Thanks GSD Heritage for the info. I have saved all of the AKCCHF files as and when they are updated along with other research being done by different interested Kennel Clubs and Vet Research.
What I am actually trying to get interest in is a database being set up with lines which carry epilepsy and known epileptics purely for GSDs and made available to breeders and potential owners.
At the moment this info has been hidden under a veil of secrecy.
If other breeds can do it and have the info available, why can’t the GSD fraternity by as forward thinking to help the breed?

It is a tragedy that today this terrible disease is still seen and all from the source, Ingosohn of Erol. unfortunately right from the beginning UK breeders took the “it cannot happen to me” attitude. It is a further tragedy that not only were the carriers bred from but also heavily used to inbreed. The Lornavale kennel was using this lines and promoting them for many years. They were not alone.

I was finally able to find some working-line dogs in Europe with epilepsy. It´s so difficult to find their names...luckily some are public in working-dog anf the finnish Database.
But after studying around 70 pedigrees.....I can only say: a lot popular sires passed it down......
