Heartbroke, I totally know what you are going through, as I'm still trying to deal with the loss of my girl. You have my total sympathy. I do however live in Michigan and am about a 3 hour drive from your location, and I have 2 gorgeous females that are 6 months old. I would like to know what you are looking for and expecting in a puppy. If you would like to email me so I can talk some more and send pictures you may. Just click on my name here, and it will give you my email. You can also check out our website, but our designers have been rather lazy and have not updated our site. www.boeselagerkennels.com needless to say they will not be with us anymore.

While I have never purchased a dog from them, I have wondeful experience with Dave and Kathy Blank, very ethical people, I recommend them frequently, along with Steve Beal, who I think is a great helper and has really nice dogs. I have a lot of respect for local breeders who title themselves. I have personally trained a few dogs bred by Landschaft kennels, they are very confident, VERY drivey dogs, in my opinion quite suitable for experienced handlers. The ones I have worked with have been fast to learn and very high energy. If you are interested in a showline dog, I have also had good experiences with Nina Heinz of Vollmond Shepherds, she is very professional. I'm currently working with a female out her Karo that has remarkable work ethic and I trained a male pup from I believe Tracy van de Herdersfarm that was unbelievably confident, in fact, I dont recall ever seeing a pup as young as he was handle pressure so well.

ghostly, what is the name of your kennel and do you have a website? I'm in Chicago. Thanks again to Kelly for a lovely talk today and my sympathies to you as well. Anyone know anything about Dean Calderon's dogs?

by spook101 on 22 April 2007 - 21:04

Dean and Karla sell high drive sport dogs. I know you say that is what you're looking for. If you are, you're in for a treat. There dogs are pretty darn good looking dogs also. Contact them; they'll spend the time to talk to you.

"I'm currently working with a female out her Karo that has remarkable work ethic and I trained a male pup from I believe Tracy van de Herdersfarm that was unbelievably confident" (Kczaja) Who are the dogs? Did they compete at the Sieger Show? Always curious who has good working showlines - if they are out there, give us some info.
