"One female that I considered softer would just cock her head like she was saying "what was that?" then she would snap at the air."
Thats exactly what my dog did when we installed an invisable fence in our yard. She got one correction and did exactly that. Of course we only used it for one day and then we cut the line with a weed eater and that was the end of that. We just put in a regular 6' chain link fence... It works alot better!lol

I have found that it is important to do the correction BEFORE the dog goes into full drive or they may run right through it. So you need to be in tune with your dog. And BTW I also tried it on myself and it nearly knocked me out of my chair on full boost.

Well I got the Dogtra NCP 1600. I tried it on myself only up to the 50 level. My dog seems to be comfortable with it at about 40. It feels like a muscle twitch to me. I didn't try it at full boost ProudShepherdPoppa like you did crazy man.
Honestly though this seems like one of the best inventions ever for off leash work or for problems like digging in the backyard or barking at the neighbors.

All you guys who try the collar on yourselves- do you put it around your neck like the dog wears it? Only logical way to get a simular sensation to what the dog is experiencing I would think.

I think I'd place my bets on putting the e-collar around my neck before the prong or choke chain.

Try taking your shoes off first, then zap yerself....around your neck.
Then drink a few beers with friends, and give the control over to your buddy. Funny funny.
