Here is another site - http://www.schaafleatherwork.com
He also does leather work for the Amish. I had him make a harness for my boy. It is absolutely a work of art - heavy leather, lambswool at the pressure point, all the fittings are heavy brass. AND made to order - he is a really nice guy too. I wound up getting a rolled collar that will probably be used on the family dogs in 50 years!!!

Its
Troyer's Leather Shop
1277 twp. Rd 1453
Ashland, Ohio 44805
I always went down there since i live like an hour a way, but friends have wrote him and got a price list then wrote him back with a check. it can take a while since he only does snail mail. If you send him a picture he can make just about anything. I needed a Boettcher harness and just explained to him what i wanted and he made it perfectly!

I just wish that those who support the Amish by buying dog products from them would first try to make sure that they are not part of the Amish puppy mill ring. Otherwise, your hard earned cash could be helping indirectly to provide them with more breeding stock for the Hunte Corporation et al. The Amish here in PA are not generally known for being animal lovers.
Anyway, try to check it out first and then decide who to support with your purchases. Most dog people here in Pa do not purchase Amish made items unless we know they are not made by one of the puppy millers.

Best leather products in my opinion are from Jon Naroditsky of Fala Woods, hands down. Ask anyone who has any of his leather leashes, training tabs, leather tugs, agitation collars, agitation harnesses etc... He uses the best leather, brass rivets and stitching on all of his products. I can personally attest to his products. His leashes are strong and yet literally feel like silk in your hand once fully broken in.
There's a bunch of K9 Officers and sport folk walking around with his stuff that won't use anything else; guaranteed to last you a lifetime if properly taken care. I would also like to mention that for the Schutzhund folk (or any other sport) that use correction tabs, Jon makes a very effecient and practical correction tab.
Just to prove how confident I am in Jon's leather products: GSDLVR if you send me an e-mail and tell me what type of leash (length, width, thickness etc..)you use to work your dog/s, I'll not only get Jon to make a custom leash to your specifications, but I'll also get him to send you one of his training tabs and leather tugs, all free of charge (Note: offer only applies to GSDLVR, sorry folks, LOL). I only ask that once you receive the products, you write a unbiased comparison review of Jon's products versus what you just ordered.
Regards.
