Politicians, however, have added scrutiny and people should consider their past actions as indicators of future acts. That goes both ways.
The difference between the Hillary cultists and the Trump cultists, is the former believes her ends justify the means and the latter knows his means will be judged in the end.

He is new to playing politics, not like Hillary, the lifer. And information exposure and the sanctity of the private conversation is becoming obsolete. Soon, talking in private and the written electronic word, will become an oxymoron.
The entitlement and fawning encountered from wielding power and or money is pretty widespread. Far fewer can handle it with grace and unassailable standards.
Trump is being judged by his party, didn't Ryan exclude him from the Wisconsin event? Republicans have been cutting off their noses to spite their faces because of fallout judgment since the Clinton impeachment proceedings.
The exposed Hillary and DNC email leaks showing the manipulation and true colors of both are met with Dem party conclusions that such blips are all expected, with minimal fallout being contained as long as the end goal is reached.

That seems to matter. Some would rather deal with the honest fit, and address those issues than the impossible task of addressing natural dishonesty that claims a benefit.
