Contraversy with the judging in the Schutzdienst. Finn was disqualified after the bite work and then he passed after BOSEL requested the video be reassessed. There is no way Finn should be given "lasst ab" when he did come off on the second part of the test he took a swipe at the helpers leg. A Lot of people are upset with this and, also, the measuring was not quite correct on certain well known dogs.
Ballack, Yuri, Marlo, Wilas sold to China. All oversized.
From October matings there will be a breed value for size.
For Hundemutter's benefit these are not rumours

It´s difficult to tell people they have to change their business practices within seconds.
Our "top" breeders are not used to listen to a President ( or anybody else ) for years now - "business as usual" -
the best ideas are useless in case you can´t force people to follow them ( I won´t say "convince", because that´s almost impossible - too much money involved - 60000 German SV members, less than 100 knowingly destroying the breed, and for all the people outside of Germany these few ( and their products / kennels / dogs ) are the "heroes".
Sometimes ( ? ) I really think people outside of Germany should stop to pay hundreds of thousands of Euros for our dogs - no money = less cheating... I wouldn´t mind.

Thank you, Susie! If I had wrote the exact same thing, there would be some questioning my motives or assessment......the same apologist😕, but the only way for change to take place is for light to come on a subject.

One thing that bothers me is that quite often semen is taken from the males and frozen for use later in Artificial Insemination. The semen is then sold at ridiculous prices so that egotistical people can say their dog is sired by a Sieger or VA male even though at the time of insemination the male may have been dead for some years. These buyers will not know the family history behind the dogs and the problems that we see today. What goes around comes around and in the future years we may have to fight today’s health and other issues again.
Today’s issues will not be solved by "The Judges Commitment Declaration for Conformation” which has already been thrown out of the window as is evidenced by the Sieger results which is the very first show that it was designed for.
I would have thought that the 60,000 SV members could collectively work together towards getting the money men out. This situation must be sorted out by the SV and quickly to restore confidence in the Club and more importantly save the breed from further damage. It has to be sorted out in Germany because that is the main source of the dogs.

Like any other system this new step has to be introduced, implemented and policed to make it work. To say it is easy but to implement it and police it with suitable punishments is something else. The subject of this thread has already gone by the board. The results reflect this.
I was a member of the SV for many years and, like Susie, I have seen many of the dogs first hand.
