NP, if ever you find someone has messed with your pedigrees or any pedigrees please report them to an admin. Let us deal with it. I have asked the owner of the site to put back in place a way to roll the pedigree back to a previous state which will allow us to quickly fix the pedigree if it is maliciously or erroneously changed.

This dog is mine, I made his entry (entered/created) the pedigree on this site, do I need to apply for (edit) his pedigree?

Nope, there is a link under the owner section if you click it, it will tell you all you need to know. Also, this information is on the user profile under its tab. If you have creator rights you also have edit rights.

So under "see who has edit rights for this dog" it says only ADMIN and I have rights...however his info was maliciously changed just the other day. It shows in the history of changes who did it and that person clearly shouldn't have edit rights? What happened? I have messaged and emailed ADMIN.

As it says above anyone can ask for rights.  If we find that a person is messing up the information let us know and we will take care of it.

She has already PMd me. I think what happened here is she got in the edit feature for that dog while Oli may have had something turned off as he was working on that system yesterday. I sent all the info to Oli.

Please tell Oli thank you. I like it - a very elegant solution that retains much of the openness of the original db but makes it difficult for malicious users - certainly if someone was asking for wholesale rights it would be caught quickly and it also allows for accountability for offenders but forgiveness for innocent mistakes.

Not only Oli but to all administrators thanks for dealing with all the angst over this. I also like the change of language to creator/ editor etc.
