A bit confused @ original complainer.
You post a very detailed rendition about the bucks involved.
Then you state in one sentence - "delete this post, the issue has been resolved"
(Has any one told the dog?)
No mention off the dog's future - shabby.
How come you can't be arsed in giving even a single paragraph re what constitutes your resolution?
Let alone the future off your mis placed prospective - four legged cash cow.
Gee.

I didn't think it was possible to change the title of the posts...
Would have been a lot more educational (for others anyway) to leave the data behind..
pedigree..GONE (poof)
xray..GONE (poof)
comments made, by everyone, all make NO SENSE now...
I'm glad they resolved their issue. Hope the dog finds a nice home.

"I didn't think it was possible to change the title of the posts..." Soon you will not be able to edit the title and you will not be able to edit after a few hours.
People need to realize one thing - we will not delete threads because of OPs remorse. Anyone who starts a thread needs to think it over real good especially if they are reporting/calling out someone for a "bad" deal because unless there is some extenuating circumstance we will not delete these threads.
It would have been so much better for both the breeder and OP had one of them came on the thread and explained the resolution. Makes all parties look real good "in my eyes". It is what it is.
Members hopefully soon will have 1 hour to edit a title and 3 hours to edit a post, we do this because a member years ago went through and took all/most of her posts out really screwed up a lot of threads.

"Good post bubba."
Even if it's total BS?

Please point out the "total bs".....
Bubba said; '.... not all HD is inherited and not all dogs with HD produce puppies with HD. HD is a complicated multi allele and environmental disease which is affected by both genetics and environment. All the OFA BS about breeding out HD is not going to happen. Proper nutrition ( raw animal based diet ), plentiful exercise, and many different types of exercise that build muscle, bone, and connective tissues strength and density will do more for HD reduction than the OFA will ever do with their simplistic X-Ray approach. Genetics do not cause cancer, obesity, diabetes or heart attack in 95% or more of humans .. it is environment. Dogs are no different from humans with regard to environment. If you want smarter, stronger, healthier and happier dogs then give them a better environment from conception to death. Lung cancer was caused by genetics according to tobacco companies in the 1950's so be very suspicious when corporations and those profiting from selling profitable products and services tell you the cause of a disease is genetic. It takes away their responsibility for killing and maiming if they can make us believe genetics is the cause of all of our health problems ..... and as we all now know smoking does cause cancer in a lot of smokers ( but not all ).'

Having said that, I will agree that the current strategy can not and will not eradicate HD but it's all we currently have and is certainly better than nothing.
