Jenni You are correct about the water. I have heard the same for certain areas and the type of water causing the problems my water does not have the problem very low in minerals etc.
When you use the viegar you will see full results after about 90 days so don't be in a real hurry. At least vinegar does not cost as much as the shampoos and many other supplements.

Moved from a house on city water to one on well water last Spring. We had the water inspected, but I cant remember what the report said. I actually just noticed my black and tan female's black points ( running down her back) turning red, and was starting to wonder why. I dont see any coat changes in my sable shepherds. Hadnt heard of well water causing this, so I'm glad I found this thread : ) . I might also try vinegar
