Admin, would you please remove my two previous replies to this post.
Yesterday I thought it would create a little humor here, but I see it in a
different light today.
Im very sorry Travels.

Oh John, no ! Don't know about Travels, but I thought it was funny (relieved to see you
do have a sense of humour, too).

Travels, nice animals. When my brothers and I were little we used to love watching the hermit crabs switch shells. That was in the fl keys.

Hmmm, I get to choose a gift for our family Christmas grab-bag, that could be a wonderful choice! And his prices are lower than I expected I've already decided I need a Mandarin Goby , they're really pretty, have a very neutral temperament with the rest of the fish in my tank and they eat those horrible bristle worms. They're not really bad if they don't multiply to quickly, but I've recently had a population explosion, hence the snails, they eat the little ones. The Hermit crabs clean up other stuff in the rocks and they also eat red algae. I have a pretty good cleanup crew, but the Mandarin will be the last addition. I love my tank, it's really relaxing to look through the rocks and try to find everybody. Right now I have two black clownfish, one firefish goby and one six line wrasse. They move too fast to get really good pictures of them in close up shots, they're always a blur. Then there are 12 hermit crabs, 4 peppermint shrimp and now 4 bumblebee snails.
Anyway, here's that guy's website, pretty cool stuff!

Here's a shrimp:
This is the best I can do to get all 4 fish in one shot.

The Manderin Gobi (Goby) is certainly one of the most pretty things on earth and such showoffs. People are shown on youtube having them in tanks as small as 20 gallons. They eat frozen shrimp usually, but some refuse to eat anything but live copepods that you would have to produce.
You seem to have a variety of shells in the tank for the crabs to play with too.

Yeah, there's lots of shells, for a while they were changing like crazy. Now that they've settle in (I've had them for about 2 months), they seem to be happy with their choices. But the glass would really be cool, just for the larger ones. I have a healthy population of copepods and lots of worms for the Mandarin. I'll have to feed more live brine shrimp, but everybody will benefit from that! I'll get a little breeding tank. I also think my clownfish will end up being a breeding pair, they're insperable, they even sleep together. Time will tell.

My daughter got me two glass shells for Christmas, they're expected to arrive tomorrow! When they do, I'll send some pics. I also got a gift certificate to purchase my Mandarin and they are in stock! I've got to do a good cleaning and a water exchange, most likely tomorrow. I may go Sunday to get the new fish, I'm so excited!

Gouda, I just noticed your post and went back to look. It was humorous, don't worry about it, you didn't offend me, considering the title :)

So, the glass shells came on Saturday and I plopped them in the tank. The shrimp were very curious and instantly went over to check them out. Not a crab in sight, besides the teeny tiny ones, my daughter and I searched for hours, no luck. There are only two that are close to being big enough to fit in one and of course, they were hiding in the rocks somewhere. But last night, there was the biggest one, right on top of the highest rock! I snatched him up and dropped him right beside the smaller of the two shells. He backed up against it and climbed right back up on the rocks, without a second glance, sigh. Time will tell and even if they get no occupants, they're pretty cool looking just sitting there :) When I go to get the mandarin, I'll buy the biggest hermit crab they have, they only cost 2 bucks.
