I like him better than calling inaccurate drawings fake :) He falls on democracy as well when faced with stuff he would rather not deal with. I thought you would like that he agrees with that.

Did God create Neanderthals and dinosaurs? Simple yes or no answer would suit me fine.
I don't have any evolution heroes? I read and do research from many angles but to say I have evolution heroes is profoundly silly. My heroes are real people who have affected my life directly, not some made up Superman nor a Fable written many years ago to control the masses. Do you think God created the money that churches suck out of their members?
I have already said plenty of times on here that when I had my accident train vs car and was dragged down the tracks a 1/2 mile. I saw things that lead me to believe that all is not right with the bible and its genocide and hate. To me when any religion slaughters innocents in the name of a God, I am repulsed. And I would hope you are also repulsed by these acts. But if you listen to all the Christians rail on Islam while not to long ago they also murdered, raped and maimed innocents, is very hypocritical talk and actions, IMHO, there is no way in hell, heaven or earth I can follow anyone or a book who uses genocide to try and wipe out whole civilizations. Your bible even preaches genocide and you follow along like a good little brainwashed person. Really Really sad.

GSD, that is an excellent point, So, all religions as well as science have probably erred at least at some point.
Because... They both involve People?

They do involve people but they also involve whatever doctrine the people follow. It is the doctrine and why people blindly follow it that has me mystified. How can anyone follow a religion that preaches and approves genocide? A genocide ordered by a supposed God? It doesn't even make sense, why would a God advocate genocide when he could easily strike dead those very people he wanted dead. It is illogical and totally against the love the followers profess.
When science errs it has checks and balances to straighten itself out, when a religion errs who straightens it out? Can't be the people because that takes going against what they believe and have been brainwashed to believe. Can't be God because he himself preaches and prods his followers to continue to make the same errors over and over.
Sin - is spin. Who says we sin? Jesus orders genocide and then he is worried about my sins, lol. I don't think so.
Plus the timeline of the bible is all wrong. We know that the universe is way older than the bible says it is. People laugh at big bang and all that stuff but how did God create himself? Just all of a sudden poof God happened? lol.

Plus the timeline of the bible is all wrong.
Maybe the bible is talkin other types of years besides earth years.
Science says time is relative anyhow.
I have been looking for a video on the evolution of belief, but can't get a good one, because that phrase has been hijacked by a group. I even had a hard time looking up carbon dating at one point, and kept getting creationist videos instead.

Admin, I really think the answer to "how can anyone follow a religion that preaches
genocide ?" is that Christianity - at least - gained a good deal of its following at
a time when the mass of the people were illiterate, or were unable to read the
Latin in which Bibles and other religious etc texts were all written. [ I'm talking early
Middle Ages, but Vk4 has a point about the Bronze Age.] So most only knew what
was written about what they were worshipping, from the interpretations by those who were
preaching to them.
What those few priests etc who could and did read the texts chose to stress or omit,
and why, remains subject to conjecture, but I bet it had something to do with
material reward ...
How those in modern society, when they claim to read the Bible in full, can continue
to support this religion, seems to have much to do with Faith, and unquestioning
habits n loyalties, rather than rational thinking. Again, in the masses. Spokespersons
for Christianity and 'leaders' of churches may have a different agenda - as so often
illustrated when one or other gets publicly 'found out' in diversion of funds and/or adultery.
