Hello!
I live in Australia (Tasmania) and have imported one dog from EU and another arriving on Monday!! You need to visit the Biosecurity website but the big thing for you is the Rabies Testing as we don't have it here. This means about 165 days in country of export and a further 10 days in quarantine in Australia. The two quarantine facilites are in Melbourne and Sydney.
If you are into WL GSDs then NSW, QLD and SA are the places to be as Victoria has banned bitework and there is a hefty fine attached if you are caught so most training is done 'underground'. As far as I know Tasmania has no such laws but it is a bit more remote with a small population and very few WL folk other than me and perhaps one other.
