Ibrahim how did you loose money ? A dishonest breeder ?

by Kalibeck on 08 October 2014 - 01:10
Ibrahim, thank you for offering encouragement to newbies & lurkers. I lurked for years before I finally posted. But now I recommend this site to many. But it's scary when you first start....
And, your pup is gorgeous! May he grow to be everything you seek in a dog!

Maybe lost money isn't the most correct phrase. In my country we don't have pure bred dogs breeders so we import from Europe. Me and friends imported several work and show GSDs, most of them were not very good specimens. For example one work line male puppy grew into a coward, one showline adult male was too small in size, one work female puppy had a bad elbow when fully grown up, one show female shy, some have structure faults like flat feet, splayed feet, east west and so on. So when we look at what we have hardly there are 2 or 3 males and same number of females that are worth breeding in all the country. When one said in the other thread that you don't have many top studs in the US I lauphed. Maybe I should have said I wasted lot of money, I was never scammed or robbed.
For us here. importing a puppy from Europe costs 2 -- 3 months salary, so it isn't a joke paying and not getting a good dog.

knowing what others have to go through sure helps keep things in perspective for me.
