Jenn, you have one sophisticated taste in mutts...very nice and solid looking dog...

Thanks all!
LF, you have no idea...solid is an understatement. Can't really show in pics the impression you get in person. He makes Capri look like a puppy.

I bet he is 70-77 pounds....am I close?
I think we need side by side with Capri... :)

Capri is 75lbs.

Working on a side by side.

Side by side effort not going so well...seems the queen has gotten rather stubborn in her old age. LOL
I'll post my attempts later. Gotta run and pick up a naughty girl who is being returned, LOL!!!

Handsome animal!

I had to throw them in a pen to get a good size comparison. The Queen is less than cooperative in her retirement. Here are some outtakes.
1) Told to stand together on the table.
2) Sitz. To be fair, Dallas *was* sitting and got tired of waiting for Capri and I to finish our disagreement and finally laid down. Doesn't she look contrite? Not.
This is Capri's new stand-stay.
Sooo, I gave up and into a kennel they went!
Got a better pic of Dallas yesterday.

Ok, good so i don't feel so bad....mine do that too....
so, WOW..u are right huge size difference and I always thought Capri was a big boned girl, but yeah next to Dallas she is on petite looking side....
I love - love 1st picture! the look Dallas is giving you is hilarious.... he is one good looking dog...
How old is Capri? I know you talked about her retirement before and puppies, etc. i am sure you mentioned her age...she looks really good w/ almost no white on her muzzle....

Capri's koer reads "large, powerful, and substantial"...and he makes her look insignificant. I would not intentionally breed for that size, but she's thrown it before. Her sire, Snoopy, was a very big dog and Dallas' sire Boy is the same size. I don't think I ever answered you...I haven't weighed him since he's been here but his vet records say 87.5lbs. He's been raw fed and worked his entire life, so he's like a brick, very muscular.
Pri will turn 8 this spring. She's had about the same amount of white on her muzzle since I got her.
