Ladywolf, The pup showed discomfort. We cannot know for certain why, but it can happen very easily that we miss something that stresses a pup. If missed and not immediately resolved, yes, strange behaviors can be the result. Again, I suggest you just treat what you see/saw, regardless of what you have done to date. Some dogs are more adaptable than others, meaning they are less easily stressed and/or get over it if they are stressed. Others show it in one way or another. Just get the dog out, alone if possible, in all kinds of unfamiliar circumstances so she sees she can survive out in the cold hard world. Good luck.
