The feedback received is very dependent on the picture that is posted. Here are three more headshots, taken about a month earlier, all from the same day with varying degrees of light. I would expect different opinions on eye color and earset depending on which picture was posted. It is important for an owner to hear feedback from others and at the same time know that those opinions are based on the information given. I would say that her earset is fine and agree with Ibrahim that her eyes are medium dark - not as dark as is preferable, but not light either.

At the last show our club had, the judge commented that the eyes need to blend in with the coloring of the dog.
This dog's eyes stand out.
IMO the dogs eyes should be almost black to blend in. On a dog with a light mask, the eyes would be ok, but they are piercing on this dog.
"The eyes are of medium size, almond-shaped, slightly slanted and not protruding. The colour of the eyes should be as dark as possible. Light, piercing eyes are undesirable since they impair the dog’s impression. "

Nice pictures, earset looks best in top right picture.

I entered Jyota in a show, she has the same tucked up underline, and the judge commented against it.
Tucked up, not as much space for lungs....

Her earset it good, but her ears are a bit long - this is very common with all GSDs.
"The German Shepherd Dog has erect ears of medium size, which are carried upright and aligned (not drawn-in laterally); they are pointed and with the auricle facing forward"
These would be considered medium size ears..

Sitasmom, that is only when combined with under short chest, the dog in question here has plenty of under chest and more than enough room for the biggest lungs and heart, that tuck up is not a undesirable tuck up, again just my opinion.

Sitasmom, I totally agree that the eyes should blend with the color of the dog. I think we can all agree that Esi's eyes are not as dark as would be preferable for her color, but are they light to the point of being faulty? I don't believe so. If you saw the third headshot I just posted, would you consider the eyes to be light and piercing? In person, her eyes don't stand out, so I would say that it really does depend on the lighting.

joanro - I have to disagree with your comments about tuck-up, per the standard.
while a dog that is out of shape will be saggy all over, excessive tuck up is not what the Germans want to see. they want minimal tuck-up. their belief is that if the dog is tucked up, it has less lung capacity. Ive seen dogs in excellent physical contition with correct tuck-up.
btw, i prefer a dog such as this one, with moderate tuck-up....LOL

Totally agree that her ears are too long. She had a horrible ugly duckling stage when she was about 8 months old where she looked like she was all legs and ears.
