Michelle, I don´t know what you are looking for, but at least I think in a country with not that much possibilities Bruno is no bad choice.

  • Ben is titled and an active police dog, Basra and Blade are titled, too.
  • The HD statistic within the ancestors is more than good,
  • for a "workingline" he looks good, he is medium sized, too.
  • The guys who raised and trained Bruno don´t spend their time with crap, but they sell for money.
  • The vid is okay in my opinion ( tablework and bitework ) - most of the people would be proud to own a dog like this.
I don´t know why Haz doesn´t like this dog, but to each its own.
For sure there are some better dogs out there, but for sure there are thousands of worse dogs out there, too.

The dogs in his pedigree are workinglines, a lot of them participated on regional and national trials - not all of them "trendy" right now, but interesting for breeding ( only 5/5 on Fero - that´s not much - an almost open pedigree ).

Forgot to mention: The stud is only 50% of the breeding - you need to look for the other 50% Wink Smile

Im judging the dog based on what I SAW. Not how pretty he is.  He has garbage nerves and it shows in his grip and when he is put under pressure.  I wish they had left the video of him on the table up all falling apart.  You think they took it down because of how awesome he looked??
Lol versatility?  it seems like you are judging him based on how pretty he looks, the only thing that matters is how he works.  he is a pet not a stud..then again if your into SLs then Im sure he cant be worse then any other stud that is being used.

Did anyone see how pretty he is?

What´s your problem?
I really hope nobody is going to judge about your dogs one day ....
Do you speak about this video  http://www.tjaernshaget.de/images/hunde/bruno/Bruno%20vom%20Wallensener%20Hof.mp4, still visible for everybody?
Or did I miss something?

Oh good you found it somewhere else.

So after seeing that video you still question if this dog is stud quality???

by Nans gsd on 22 March 2014 - 01:03

Personally Haz I don't see anything week about the video, however, If someone handled my dog like this dog was thrown around I would fire them.  Good day  whoever you are.

by Haz on 22 March 2014 - 01:03

I understand.  One of the main reasons that there are still many weak GSDs being bred and people buying the puppies.  Many just dont know weak when they see it.  That dog was about to bail on that table BUT did you see how pretty he was??

Haz, I didn´t find the video "somewhere else", it´s shown on the official webside of Bruno, nobody took it down...

I didn´t talk about "prettyness", I talked about HD, titles ( of the siblings, too ), conformation ( we are talking about German Shepherds, are we? ),size (medium sized ), ancestors ( at least in my country well known working dogs ), and the former owners and trainers ( IPO trainers, the helper a German National helper ).

On the vid I did see a dog being pushed up by a helper holding a whip, standing in front of the dog, not more, not less.
During sleeve work I saw a dog with a good grip, not slow in motion, and good outs.
I also saw that they worked this dog not in his "homezone" but on a soccer field.

I´s one thing to dislike something, but it´s something else to talk about "garbage nerves" in this context.
Once again, my statement from above: For sure there are some better dogs out there, but for sure there are thousands of worse dogs out there, too.

If I were Michelle I´d try to see this dog "in real" AND I´d try to see mother and puppies in real, afterwards she may decide if she likes the stud/dam/pups or not.

Video's are barely better then nothing. That being said;  before I bred to that dog I would want to put him back on the table and test him myself. To me he looked nervy, but maybe just maybe he is not. I would like to see more presure and then less then more to see for sure. He is real pretty.

I still don´t see the "nervy" part - all I´m able to see is a "normal" IPO dog, nothing "spectacular", but nothing horrific, too.
I´m fighting against the terms "weak" and "garbage nerves" - seen by Haz in a short videoclip, without knowing the dog in question.

Forgot to mention. "Pretty" workingline = "stupid" blond?
