Mountain Lion

LOL Bee, keep us in suspense we deserve it.

I'll update this evening on the poor wife, they moved her to a rehab facility over a week ago and I've been there at least 4 hrs a day since.

The wife is in a rehab facilty, when she got there she couldn't walk, sit up, and was in severe pain. Very weak, would barely eat and was down to 106 lbs from 118. Her biggest problem was the severe pain on the inside of her right leg (groin area). The rehab facility found out she had the shingles and that was causing the severe leg pain. They gave her medicine for that and the leg pain was gone in 24 hrs.

She is now walking 200 ' or so with a walker (very slowly and very small steps). She has been eating much better since they stopped the pain. She still has back pain if she sits up, but she can now sit up for 10 - 15 minutes before the pain kicks in.

So she has a long way to go but she has improved a great deal from where she was.

ML,

Glad she is doing better and I hope she gets back to 100% soon. All caused by bronchitis?

Thanks GSD, she had a cold that led to pneumonia and it went downhill from there.

That sucks, I hope she gets better soon. To think a healthy woman goes downhill stemming from the common cold. Sounds like she is in a good place and getting good care.

Wow ML, the shingles can be pretty nasty.  My M-I-L had them bad and it took a couple of years for it to clear up.  She couldn't even wear underwear, only loose dresses.  Anything that touched it sent her into pain spasms.  Even after they were gone, a tingling remained until she died.  I sure hope your wife's case will clear up soon and not leave any lingering effects.  That poor woman has been through the ringer, poor thing.  Hugs to you both.

Thanks GSD and Travels. It's been hell for a while here. At least the last few days have shown steady improvement.

Thanks Ruger, she is 5' 7" so 106 lbs. is not good. Gonna have to fatten her up a bit.

ML,

I am glad your wife is starting to get better. Wish I could say the same. Whatever I have is killing my back, too. And racking me with a cough. I am exhausted all the time. I get chills and then hot. I am sick of taking pills. I am sick of being sick!

I wouldn't mind losing a few lbs. though. Don't seem to have much of an appetite, either. I'll be begging someone soon, to put me out of my misery, if things don't change for the better, soon.

You can't imagine the mountain of laundry that has piled up, just waiting for me.
