I think Ehren is stunning, LOVE that dark full face! Your Aria is beautiful! And gottal love your Chi boy thinking he has "what it takes" to do Capri some good!Clown

Thanks!  I'm a bit partial to Ehren myself. He's Grandma's boy. I think his face will stay very dark. His build and temperament are very much what I'm used to w/Capri pups. This litter was fun in their differences. Outcrosses are fun like that sometimes.

You cannot tell a Chihuahua that they can't do anything. Teeth Smile

Ehren is a stunner (they all are!)... He doesn't have any 'eyebrows' yet, does he? The black and red blanket-backs are some of the prettiest dogs out there.

He used to, but they're fading. I didn't used to be able to tell him apart from Ember without a second look. She is going to be more of a traditional dark b&t/red. I looked at him closely tonight and his eyebrows are all but gone. Eirik has very faint, very red eyebrows. Ember is the only one with very defined, increasing eyebrows. Ely (Combover) also has no eyebrows to speak of. Ely ALMOST looks like a bi.

I actually had someone wanting him for stud. What Smile

Honestly, I'm surprised you only have one person wanting him to breed, knowing the usual blue crowd LOL.

I've never been a *huge* fan of the black and reds. They have to have a lot of black on their faces for me to find them appealing. Adds to their expressions I guess. A couple, Eirick and Ember, I think, look like they have red creeping on to their muzzles. I wonder what their faces will look like when the grow up! I imagine they won't have very big masks, like Aria looks like she has a lot of redness on her muzzle... so I wonder if they'll take after her.

There's no red on their muzzles. Here's Dad.

They'll be a heck of a lot darker than he is. Eirik is getting a bit of red at the back base of his ears. Ehren and Ember have none yet. Maybe we're not using the same terminology. Aria is pretty darn black, though she has a lot of red undertones. Is that what you mean?

Regarding blues, I was pretty darn clear they were NOT FOR BREEDING (so I thought). I had 3 people ask. 2 BYBs and 1 w/a pretty website who advertises all the time. I was a bit shocked, honestly. I guess I'm naive. LOL

I'm sending Combover (Ely) home with my best friend. He can handle him and we'll see what he's like at 6 mos. He's a bit...........special.

My terminology sucks, so who knows. LOL Undertones, is what I think I meant... like your pic of Eirick gazing at Aria... On Eiricks muzzle, it looks like there is red creeping towards his nose from his cheeks. Not red like, say the red on his feet, just those lighter.... creep marks. But I suppose that could be him losing his fuzzy puppy coat. Aria, in her gaiting pic, also looks like she has reddish in her muzzle, rather than a completely solid black muzzle. Nothing wrong with that, just an observation. :)

Filius is a handsome dog as well. Pretty red, with enough "dark" on his face to be appealing, LOL. I'm picky with the black/reds.

Wow, Combover is that bad, huh? Here I thought those half showlines were supposed to be couch potatoes. Wink Smile

Know what you mean about the faces, Dawulf.  I'm like you,
I much prefer at least some dark mask on adult GSD faces.
Dogs with all-, or virtually all-, tan faces have never appealed so
much to me either.  Tends to go with dogs that are all over not
so well pigmented, there is such a thing as 'too much' tan on a
b&t (its rarely B&Red!), although the Standards do not mention
it. LOL
