suzyc, You should not feel stupid or silly in any way. You are doing what all people SHOULD do who are considering a German Shepherd puppy, but most don't. You are asking lots of questions and doing your research before you make any kind of commitment and I applaud you for the thoughtful way in which you are going about this.
