Why? Because how many times have we seen dogs from exactly this sort of breeding 'program' show up in shelters and rescues with pleas for someone, anyone, to step in save the dog from euthanasia? The last bunch of pups the OP sold were priced @ $650.00, out of Jerry Lee's Maximum Overload [the ad isn't on weebly any longer, but a cached version of it from Oct. 26,2013 is still viewable]. The ad said one pup from that litter was spoken for, and the rest were available at that time; it also said the pups would be ready to leave the week before Thanksgiving. I have no patience for, or tolerance of, breeders who view dogs as livestock, to be bred regularly--I never said she was "bred to death", though--so their offspring could support the operation.
So tell me again that I don't know what I'm talking about, and that I should keep quiet, when I see yet another checkbook breeder who knows just enough to have recognized they need their puppies to have some credentials behind them if they want to get the best price for them? You want helpful advice? Here ya go--you're getting in over your head, you're not likely to be able to so much as break even on breeding dogs, and so far you've offered nothing in the way of your qualifications for running a dog training and breeding business other than having a couple of intact females [only one of breeding age right now] and being in the process of buying a dog with working credentials. You have no idea how many times we've seen this play out on these pages, and how rarely it works. As for your 'disliking' my post, oh, I'm simply crushed...people rarely want to hear that they're in the category of the 'backyard breeder', so I didn't expect you to be any different.
Jakoda, I could only go with what the OP themselves wrote in their ad, which indicated that Ike is a UKC Champion and has his CGC. No mention of him being SAR certified, and it's not on his pedigree here, either. If he is certified in SAR and now working toward HRD certification, then great--at least the sire's side has proven himself in a working venue. If she was given the opportunity, I wouldn't expect the dam, Samba, to have any difficulty in earning a working certification or title herself, but for the moment, she remains an unknown quantity who is owned and being bred by inexperienced individuals.

Well, then hopefully she only has ONE, and you'll have your wish, and you won't be adding to number of GSDs out there who are still looking for good, forever homes.I'm doing this breeding ONLY because I'm looking to keep one back for myself and train and work.
