Are there any adverse side effects from the vitamin E and/or Vitamin C? I'll definitely be looking to add these in, but just worried about overdoing it. I already give him coconut oil, fish oil, and a dasuquin daily. Don't want to overload him with supplements (if this is possible?).

I keep the rimadyl to a minimal but have used it on days where hes seemed to be a little worse. He was on it for a longer period of time before so I do want to keep this to as little as possible. We have done the recommended adequan injections after his surgery and didn't continue any maintenance ones, but I've read people do weekly or monthly. My surgeon didn't advise maintenance injections and the manufacturers recommended dosage was a series of 8 (by the label, so not sure if there are other recommendations out there). Which makes me think maintenance injections might not be worthwhile.

I guess I will try to keep him rested for the most part. Its just hard because he had just been cleared for off leash activity. Just ready for him to be "Okay".

Thanks for everyones input! Hopefully he gets over this pretty quick.

Although my old all time favorite vet  told me to rest Pano;  did not believe in any type supplements for puppies, later maybe depending if dogs (adults) show deficient signs of something...  So have kind of made those rules for myself thru the years and just lost recently an almost 15 year old Samoyed girl  that was raised and reared from 7 l/2 weeks old never having a supplement of any type until about 13  years old and at that time gave her totally naturalistic arthritis liquid supplement;  that worked by the way.  Soooo, am kind of hincky about supplements in general;;; they do however have their time and place.  Thx  Nan
