Phoenixhund says he/she has visited some of the clubs in the Columbus area and was not comfortable.   I would suggest going back to to check out those clubs again, UNLESS YOU WENT TO HELSER'S ALREADY.   IF you went to check out clubs during stressed periods (like during back-to-back trials, or when several members are preparing for high-level competition), you may develop a different impression than you would during a more  "regular" time-period.   Most clubs generally have a fall-off in number of people actively training after fall sets in (note I said "most" and "generally." )

I cannot stress enough, though:  LISTEN TO SLAMDUNC AND BOB!!

Hey, according to himself, Timothy was offered the opportunity to purchase Hank Weinbergblick last year but turned it down because it was too rich for his blood.

I do believe that last part, but as for the rest of the claim....

Buying fully trained dogs and then acting like you have done there training should tell people something!  Still as of yet never seen any thing he has trained other then a Bh

Feuerlands Hundesport is a good club. We are not in Columbus, but about an hour and half away give or take a few. Our members are helpful and encouraging. Our trainer is super. A bit of a drive for Sunday and Wednesday training, but well worth the hike.

bjgullet, What city are you located in?..An hour and half what direction from Columbus?..

by bjgullett on 24 October 2013 - 22:10

HI,

I am located in Vermilion. Our club is located in Monroeville (by Sandusky). Depending on where you are, I think it's about 1 1/2 hours from Columbus. Our field is beautiful, and we also train inside when the weather is typical "Ohio". Our trainer is also a teaching helper.

For years I attended the club run by John Nusbaum in Dalton.  Is he still around?  It was an excellent club with cooperative people.  and John was a great guy with oodles of experience. I do have a blog, videos, and articles I have written on training at http://www.banffyhaus.com.  Maybe they will be a help to you.
