I have said how it is worked out over here in Belgium and i think it the fairest way? Any dog from the two different Bodies compete together in a selection Trial end of March next Year for the 2014 event in France. Then in end of April the second Selection Trial takes place. You can enter one or both of these two trials.
Then in August of that Year we have the Belgian Championship which you must enter if you want to try for selection. The winner of this Championship goes through automatically, The other places are from the Points they get in the Belgian Championship and the best scores from one of the two selection trials earlier in the year, added up and the places selected
However there is a twist in this, Let us take my own dog Gina as the example, if she has not competed in the selection trials the prior March and April, she can compete in the Belgian Championships, but to be selected she must win the Championship coming in 2nd place is no good. Normally we have over 20 dogs and handlers each Trial and we have three judges one for each phase A.B.C and that is it A fair way for all in think

The United States will figure it out!  We always do!  Keep in mind we as a country (Team) have won the WUSV four times, we as a country (Team) have come in the top three 11 times the only other country that has come in the top three ( As a Team) more than the United States is Germany.  Now grant you until 2004 those high placement as a team was done by USCA. However,  2004 we had a combined team we place 3rd, 2006 we won, 2008 we came in 2nd.  My point is, things take time here but we always find a way to work it out.

We all know who has done what in the WUSV that is not relevent, otherwise it will start with, We have done this then another We have done this and the point of it will be lost. I do not know if my post upset you but it was only to say how the Belgians have done it and it works well that does not take any figuring out. What i am saying is that if the USA get the rules changed to suit them then all the countries who have two seperate bodies will have to change and that is wrong. The Rule is fair there is too much fragementation in certain Sports today, Compete against each other or do not bother at all? Because who ever wants seperate trials is a frightened competitor and those sort are no good to represent there countries in my opinion.

No Steve, Your post did not upset me, not in the least.  The point I was making, is that we as a country has had to put up with several changes over the years and we have found a way to make it work.  In the beginning, it did not work but given time it always works out. Showing what we have accomplish is proof that we are more then capable of working this out  And of course to your point that we should not be treated any different then the other countries with two votes is correct.

We are not Belgium, we are not Korea or any of the other countries for that matter with two votes, what works for them may or may not work for us.  I think (In my opinion) the Qualification trial is the best way to pick the best team to represent the United States, even if it has not proven that "Best Team" concept yet!  But the last system we had took time as well.

The day before the WUSV general meeting, representatives from UScA, GSDCA and WDA met to negotiate a possible resolution to the unfair judging issues during the the past several US Qualifier Trial. The understanding is that if judging irregularities resist at the 2014 qualifier, a different process for selecting judges will be tried, or the selection process for the team will revert to 3 members from each club.

Based on the agreement, WDA withdrew the motion from the WUSV agenda, and will wait and see if this solution works.
For the 2014 US National Qualifier Trial:
Judge will be selected from a pool of 3 judges that the WUSV supplies.
Judge will speak enough English to give critiques.
Judge will not be from UScA or WDA.
Judge will be qualified to officiate at a WUSV World Championship.
There will be 1 judge for the event.
UScA and WDA will have right to exclude one from the list, if 2 are left judge will be picked blindly.

Both UScA and WDA will work together to fundraise to assist entrants and finance the event.

Personal commentary......
When someone posts this type of info on this board........please get the complete information and post all of it......other wise the person posting looks like a bias idiot.

There is no "we win/you lose" to this issue........as in every issue in between the UScA and the WDA - our dogs are the ones that come out getting screwed. Can we just work together for our dogs? All this political crap is turning away so many people from the sport we love.

For the WUSV to even consider such a meeting, they must realize the problem first exists.

Videos were made of each team and scores were noted. For an experienced trial judge it would be very easy to see judging irregularities.

That is the way to go all together. It is the best team to go forwards at the end of the day, No one Section of a country counts. No one member counts. it is a team to represent your country that counts and if a Handler and his or her dogs wins top spot as well then they should all be applauded; Now i am off to the Training Club
