Papers never make a dog, but they sure can help you figure out
how to hopefully continue making that same type of dog Wink Smile
Very nice dog indeed!

Just wanted to comment how neat it is getting to see this angle of bite work!

If he had papers and his sire or dam wasn't well known, he still wouldn't get a breeding with most of you. People talk that it's the dog before you that counts, but they walk the hi profile pedigree. A big difference in breeding mentality of today and yesteryear......it comes with a price.

Nice post Mel! . He is a very nice, very well trained dog. It is great to see a dog being prepared for street work. I would assume, logically that some one put some effort into this specimens ancestry which included papers, titling, and may be some connection to a club .  or maybe we could trace his origin back 120 years to the sheep herding dogs who are now the behind the Mali and GSD we are ruining with poor breeding practices.

Yes the problem is the dog has a great pedigree, owner was screwed by the broker and didn't provide the proper paperwork to transfer the foreign registry to AKC.  I am trying to help him see if it's not a lost cause.  The dog could title PDC and PSA1 tomorrow, and I have done many PSA2 requirements in bitework to keep the dog from getting bored...if the owner could find time to trial him.  Having fun with his PPD is his motivation for training....I'd like to see this dog get bred to so I hope I can help sort out his paperwork problem for him.
